Hey mate! Actually I don't use Interface Builder or autolayout at all. I generate all my UI in code. I realise this is probably less efficient than using IB, but I never got round to learning autolayout and I find I can be more flexible this way.

Well, I guess I know what I gotta do xD

It helps that I LOVE Objective C. If humans communicated this way then I would be perfectly happy with that ;)

lol. I've 'used' Objective C since iOS 4. Switch to swift is confusing. However, I bet you soon Objective C will be phased out by apple.

I hope not. Swift is ghastly. I don't think it will be phased out any time soon - Cocoa is still in Objective C which is why there's so much bridging needed. And don't get me started on using C functions from Swift (e.g. CoreGraphics). I can't imagine Apple is too hasty to ditch Objective C just yet.

Hey I am on the same boat as you. (offtopic{ Wouldn't be awesome if at WWDC they announced Xcode 8 would run on Windows and Linux

Well I've got a Mac so I don't care about Windows support :P In fact I would prefer if they didn't add Windows support. iOS, OS X, tvOS and watchOS are designed to share the same APIs. Getting those APIs to work properly under Windows would be practically impossible, so Xcode under Windows would be considerably less useful than under OS X.

True I see your point. I my self have a mac but it is SO slow. It takes 5m to boot up the emulator. I want it on PC though so I can have good hardware to develop without spending that price.

Well, you could try installing OS X on more powerful non-Apple hardware. But if it's that slow then it might be time for a rebuild. What hardware and OS X version are you using?

Hmm, well I'm on a 2011 iMac also running El Capitan and I also find that the simulator takes a long time to start up. It's awful trying to test on multiple device types as they all have to boot separately... It never used to be like that for me though, so I think I also need to reinstall everything!

Luckily I just have the 3DS environment set up as well as Xcode. I guess I'll do it this afternoon.

If you have sufficient HDD space, you could always create a separate partition and reinstall OS X on there just to see if it makes any difference. Then you can gradually move stuff over.

That's true I mean. I don't have a disc though. I have only been downloading OSX through the app store? Do you need a disk to install OSX on a separate partition?
