Anti-GIFs, blog section, dumbass memes, heated arguments that serve no constructive purpose, having a political/whatever section recently opened up where in my forum history prior to this, was always considered a death knell. There are certain loose strings keeping me attached, otherwise I'd be out of here.

Now that I think about it, they calm down CFW wars and socio-political back and forths when it's far too late, but they are really fishy on GIFs. Like some member basically played dimestore mod asking if "pointless" image posts are banned. A political forum section should be banned, that attracts more chaos and unhealthy vibes than funny GIF/image reaction that supposedly have no point.

I understand since this place is not an imageboard, they wouldn't want to have to pay to be hosting pointless GIFs, but they are a little bit strict on it especially if you're just linking the image from somewhere else. Of course this is nowhere near a good reason to leave a perfectly good hacking community.

Bullshit, sharing from Imgur and imagehosts is nothing, I don't understand that argument. Like the GIFs overdoing server load and paying for that? Suck it up, I always experienced forums through images and GIFs combined with text posts. This forum is more and more in my mind becoming the antichrist to that.

I'm pretty sure if you add text with a GIF, chances are it will not be removed. Even if it's a pointless caption that adds nothing, but still relates to the main topic, you can keep the gif
