Have you looked into Mercenaries Saga Chronicles for the Switch? 3 tactics games for 15 bucks.
Had one of them on the 3ds and really enjoyed it. Just bought the switch collection and made me think of you. Lol

so i'll let you in on a little secret. I am a bad "tactics" game fan. The only real tactics games that I have ever played were the Final Fantasy tactics games and Shining Force. I tried Onimusha Tactics and from what I played I really did like it. At some point I got to a mission with gatling guns that tore my team to shreds and I gave up.

I tried Disgaea 5 but it felt way too obtuse to get into. I would love to get into more tactics games, but when i play new games all I think it "I could be playing FFTA again..." Oh i did play both Devil Survivor games and LOVED them but those were a real mix of tactics and traditional turn based battles.
