Why do people like sports? Why do people like marijuana? Why do people like alcohol? Why do people like books? Why do people like ICP.

Subjectivity? Sure. I'm asking for points why. It just seems like lazy animation made my companies thriving off a fanbase of people, since it's easy to make.

Besides, what's the point of even replying here if you're not going to properly answer it? People like that shit for different reasons.

You just answered your question. Good job.

Why does it matter? People like what they like. You think it's shitty animation, I think live sports is overpaid acting.

No, I didn't. I don't see why people like the artstyle. I know that subjectivity exists, but *what* makes it special?

I don't give a flying fuck about what people like. It's like you're trying to make this post look like a personal insult...

Because they like the content. At least to me, anime is no different from other animation, movies, TV shows, etc. What matters is that I enjoy the plot, or that it's funny, or satisfies whatever I'm after. And anime seems to cover all the bases pretty well, so there's something for everyone in it.

I think my question was terribly asked, to be honest. I'm wondering why people literary make everything about anime. Their avatar, their 'emotes', and even (for experience) their personality.

The exact same reason people enjoy any other form of TV show or movie and especially cartoons. Coming out of Asia doesn't make it any different.

I feel kinda excited when I watch anime, dunno why though. If I'm into an anime, and it suddenly turned into justifying 9/11, I'd still probably watch it tbh

@TheKingy34 Probably because they are a fan of a particular anime series and want to show their appreciation of it. That's not exclusive to anime, I see people with avatars from popular movies, TV shows and comics as well.

As for acting like an anime character... Could be an Otaku who's a little too obsessed but at the same time it could just be an online persona and they think they're being funny or something, that doesn't mean they're actually like that.

There are people like that in every fandom though. You just tend to see them more in the anime fandom since anime is so widespread due to it just being a form of media and not something more specific.

The same reason people do that exact same thing with American animation? It's just a weird thing that people do when they're 12 years old that makes them (in their mind) seem cool, by emulating a popular character from a popular cartoon or anime, likely because they think they themselves aren't interesting as a person, or they lack social skills.
