It depends on how much traffic is on your current router. Your best bet would be to disconnect everything else that doesn't need to be connected to that router, and have your PC connected via Ethernet.

I have maybe 5 devices on my router at any given time. I'll test out disconnecting everything from my router other than my DC connection next time I stream. in the event that it doesn't help the problem, are there routers I could look into that can handle more traffic? Recommendations?

Personally I'm using the TP-Link D2 AC750, which can sustain 30FPS on top-screen only mode (on a good day).

Last question before I stop bugging you. What do I look for in a router specifically, that would improve stability? in your opinion.

Personally I looked for a high speed (at least 300mbps), availability of Ethernet ports, and optionally the ability to transmit on 2.4GHz and 5GHz simultaneously.

Thank you for being so willing to help and for being actually helpful! Hopefully I can get these dips resolved. I know I said last question before, but do you think having a separate router would be beneficial even with my current modem/router so close?

It would depend if the bottleneck is caused by your current router. What's the model of your current router?

I have an Xfinity XB6-T.

The specs look fine to me, is you PC connected via wired or wireless?

Its wired.

Maybe there's just too much network congestion on that router. If possible, try taking your PC somewhere else and testing NTR streaming on a different network, and see if performance changes.
