If it can take a fall without shattering in a million pieces like all expensive phones do nowadays, then it's more than good enough for me! I always want a durable phone because I hate using cases, just put them in the same pocket as my keys, so durability is my main concern, plus to know that I won't need a new phone should it fall down once...
yeah ThoD the Nokia smartphones have insane durability, I myself have dropped my 5 in some drastic situations and it comes out unscathed, any other phone would have shattered
@ThoD all-glass phones baffle me. It's a phone ffs. I'd appreciate if it didn't destroy itself next time I dropped it. But nooo, glass is a premium material or whatever. Eff that, unibody polycarbonate ftw. Grippy. Has give to it. Won't shatter.
Who even cares about wireless charging? I'm just fine with plain old cable chargers, why do people keep going for useless technologies instead of inventing a way to make it so phones don't shatter into pieces the moment they fall down? Something like springs/pads inside the phone frame for example, cushioning the fall so screen doesn't break among other things...
@ThoD There are some uses for wireless charging, for example you can put a charging pad on your nightstand so your phone is always charged in the morning without having to look for the cable, but yeah, I don't use it either. I have a wireless fast charger I've never even opened. Came free with the phone.
Debatable, I think the Pixel devices are the best if you care about quick updates. I've been a Samsung guy for so long, I don't really agree with their design choices though.
Curved edges and all-glass is a recipe for disaster, though my S7 Edge has survived so far and I've dropped it a few times, I did put a rather nice Spigen case on it which does ruin the aesthetic a bit but it might not have survived those drops otherwise.
But I do like some features of TouchWiz such as the dual app splitscreen, which I use occasionally. And I have a Gear VR that I use occasionally. So if I were to switch to another phone it'd have to at least be Daydream ready.
TBH pixel devices aren't something I'd consider anymore. What with the massive explosion of great devices in the mid-range section I don't think pixel offers any decent value, except maybe being one of the only remaining powerful 5-inch phones on the market.
Well yeah, Pixels are obviously the best if you want to be the first to get new updates, but Android One devices are your next best bet. I like to think of Nokia devices as affordable Pixels with a wider choice range.
