Homebrew I want to create a forwarder channel for a minor tool someone made, Eject DVD v0.1. How?

I have a Wii with a stuck eject button, so I have to eject discs through software. I've found that this simple app called Eject DVD v0.1 works great. However, I rather have it available on the System Menu rather than the added step of having to open Homebrew Channel. Is there a tool to make a...

Homebrew RetroArch Wii: Garbled text when playing certain MAME games like TMNT (pics inside)

Playing TMNT on the MAME core of RetroArch Wii results in garbled text like this. The game's graphics are fine, but the text is all messed up. Other games like Pac-Man look completely fine which makes me think this is a compatibility issue. Can changing any settings help? and/or is there a...

Hacking How can I install Priiloader on a 4.1u console?

It doesn't seem possible to update the System Menu to 4.3u anymore since the servers are down. I bought a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops to perform the update via the disc, but it isn't working. I assume the software was on the disc itself, but maybe not? Since I couldn't update the console to...

Homebrew When a friend tries to open NeoPop Wii his WiiMote turns off and the lights flash.

This effectively disables the controller, preventing him from pressing 1 to continue. I read a rumor a while back that one way Nintendo tried to curb piracy was, when they released the new WiiMotion Plus controllers, they set it disable itself when you try to open certain emulators. However...

Gaming Does anything ever cause a blinking red light?

I sold a modded Wii, now the buyer tells me that there's a flashing red light when he plugs it in. I've never heard of this and can't find anyone else with this problem when I Google it. The buyer provided me with a picture but that tells me nothing because it looks like a normal Wii while...

Hacking USB Loader GX: I only see "Install WAD to EmuNand," I have no "EmuNand WAD Manager"

I've been driving myself crazy all day with this. I'm not sure what I did/didn't do, but when I go to Settings>Features, the "EmuNand WAD Manager" option isn't there. I want to install multiple WADs that are in a folder at the same time. I've double-checked that I'm using the most recent version...

Hacking Power on Wii --> Black screen. Is there anything I can do?

I bought a bunch of Wiis from thrift stores and a couple of them have this problem, so I don't know how they got bricked. When I press the power button, the LED turns green and I can hear the drive spinning up as it should but nothing displays on the screen. One is a RVL-001, the other is a...

Hacking USB Loader GX: WWE All Stars doesn't load... only this game, everything else works.

I've tried downloading it from several different sources but when I click on the game, nothing happens. I can still move the cursor, but it slows down as if the console is trying to load something. However, nothing happens. Any idea what's going on?

Hacking USB Loader GX: Black screen and reset to main menu when attempting to load a GameCube game

I have a 3TB hard drive with two partitions, one for Gamecube games and one for Wii games. I have Nintendont installed and use USB Loader GX as a loader. The Gamecube games appear in the games list in USB Loader GX as they should, however when I try to select one I get a black screen for a few...

Hardware WiiMote turns off in between apps and has to be turned back on

This is difficult to word correctly so here's a video. I bought a Wii from someone which wasn't in the best of shape. The WiiMote is missing its battery cover, so I put a couple pieces of strong medical tape over the batteries to hold them in place which works fine especially with the silicone...

Hardware Clicking noise upon startup and won't read discs (video included)

I bought a Wii secondhand for cheap and it makes a rapid clicking noise when I start it up. The clicking also occurs when it attempts (and fails) to take in a disc via its motorized tray. I'm new to Wii. Is this a common issue with Wiis? What might be happening here and could it be repairable?
