Updated softmod, and retail games stopped reading
I have a Wii that had some really old outdated mod stuff, so I overwrote basically everything. Seemed fine, till I noticed I noticed retail Wii games have stopped reading. Perhaps the old mod enabled DVD-Rs or something, and I overwrote something I shouldn't, or not enough, I dunno, just...- ragnar14

Hardware Are chipped Wii's useful at all here in 2020?
TLDR, I have a chipped Wii and I'm thinking of cutting the chip out and tossing it. Good or bad idea? Full story. I had a soft modded Wii with a dead DVD drive, it worked fine aside from that.
