i have typed in my error(display driver stopped responding and has recovered) into google and it seems like the error is not caused due to my PSU but an error caused because of gayass windows vista
well i guess your right their is no other solution left but to get a new PSU but thanks anyways people for trying to help, but what i still dont get is why did it work perfectly through out thursday and suddenly just stop the next day
EDIT: which PSU is better...
after i played GRID for a while the computer keeps saying that the display driver stopped responding and the game just stops working
EDIT:this is only happening when i play a game
EDIT:i even installed the drivers again
EDIT: i played GRID again and it just completely froze so i removed the...
alright the monitor just turned off after a little while so i restarted the computer and i havent played a game yet but im going to try to install the drivers again also there is nothing else i can unplug
alright so i unplugged the dvd driver and put the video card back in then i turned on the game GRID and it works perfectly but like after evey 2 min. or so it would freeze but then come back on and after like it freezing the fifth time it just turned off
the computer is working perfectly normal now that i removed the video card and no i didnt remove the video card when the system was on and the only time the computer crashes is when the video card is in the system
if you mean the video card well after i log into windows vista a little while after the monitor just goes black and sometimes the BSOD will come up(which scared me a litle bit so i removed the video card) but then it just restarts
well i dont know exactly what your talking about but my monitor is connected to the pc and after i connect the HD 4670 the monitor has to be plugged into the video card to work and it works through DVI
it already is on PCI and im going to try to run the video card by removing the dvd drive
just to let you know here are some of my specs
Processor:AMD Athlon X2 4800
Optical Drive:DVD/CD Burner with Lightscribe Technology
Memory:3G
Hard Drive:320GB
Graphics:NVIDIA Geforce 6150 SE...
i got the BSOD after reinstalling because the video card wouldnt work or whatever the monitor wouldnt but nothing really happened after the BSOD it just restarted
how do you disable an onboard graphics card this may solve the problem but yesterday i was playing with the HD 4670 and i dont remember disabling any onboard graphics card
alright well i found out that i didnt connect the monitor correctly so then i fixed that and yesterday the card was working and everything(i played some great games)but today in the afternoon it just stopped the computer will start up and everything but a little while after i log on the monitor...
alright so i have thid sapphire HD 4670 video card and a 250 watt PSU and when i installed the video card there was no video display and most likely its because of my PSU and i was wondering is there anything i can do to make it work other than having to buy a new PSU
but why get a better one when i have one that meets the needs for the video card and are you sure it will work because i will be so happy if it worked perfectly
