ROM Hack The SNESticle Liberation Project: A script that isolates the SNES emulator from Fight Night Round 2 (GCN)

None of the expansion chips are supported. No SuperFX, DSP, nothin… It’s pretty bare-bones but it is a functional demonstration of what we missed out on when SNESticle never ended up releasing.

Hacking Does Pokémon home work with pirated games or original games on a hacked 3ds?

Pokémon home doesn’t work with 3ds. Pokémon bank runs on 3ds, home is for the switch and mobile phones. You can use bank on 3ds and move any mons to home from there and using bank will work with your illegitimate games. But home will not work with illegitimate games as you’ll likely get...

ROM Hack Are you guys aware of save state patches for GB games? Good for non-x7 Everdrive + Jr

I agree with you there... ez-flash is trash. I’d do anything to avoid them all around lol even missing features x3 is still better than a jr! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Homebrew How to make gba emulator run full speed

A ds lite is using gba hardware to play gba games, not emulation. As such, there are no save states available. You can use just about any pc emulator, or many mobile ones as well which do have save states, or injecting games into the VC releases may give you save states as well. (I’ve never...

ROM Hack Are you guys aware of save state patches for GB games? Good for non-x7 Everdrive + Jr

Yeah I realize the save states don’t work with gbc (yet!) the author has expressed interest in adding support for gbc eventually so maybe some day... rtc is a big one I know many are after but there are patches for those games as well. I skipped the x7 since I already own gen2 carts and didn’t...

ROM Hack Are you guys aware of save state patches for GB games? Good for non-x7 Everdrive + Jr

Yes! You’ll need a DS with gba slot-2 in order to write the save back to a cart and a homebrew which can dump roms/sram (and also write sram). You can write a save to a real Pokémon cart and then do with it what you wish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ROM Hack Are you guys aware of save state patches for GB games? Good for non-x7 Everdrive + Jr

I’ve been telling everyone on reddit about these for like 2 years now, still everyone seems to go buy the expensive x7 instead of saving a ton of money and adding the feature for free. [emoji2369] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hacking F2A 256M: GBA ROMs in wrong menu slots

Ya since I bought the f2a there were some games that did that and I hadn’t ever known why. I did happen to gift the device away sometime after the posting so I’ll likely never know at this point. Had moved on to the everdrive some time ago and assumed the f2a would be more useful to someone else...

    Homebrew DoomDS: IWAD Not Found?

You need the actual doom data file, known as doom.wad which contains the games data. You can get it from a retail or digital copy of doom and just copy it into the DoomDS directory. There is also a shareware demo online which you can use with only the first episode in it. You likely won’t get...

Hardware NKit :: Recover to Redump Images :: Shrink and Preserve Wii and GameCube Disc Images as Playable

I do have it running in a vm for now. Seems to work fine as is, but if I get into this any more I may setup mono to use it for simplicity in the long run.

Hardware NKit :: Recover to Redump Images :: Shrink and Preserve Wii and GameCube Disc Images as Playable

I remember reading about this a year or so ago... I recently am getting back into my gc/wii stuff and found this again (great work btw) but the wiki states it's for Windows, Mac and Linux, yet I'm not finding anything but Windows downloads. Do linux or mac ports exist? Would love to use this...

Hacking Switch CFW ReiNX after ExFAT to FAT32 does not but from SD card

I’m not sure on emuMMC stuff as I don’t use it. Just sounds like a waste of sd card space to me. Going online with any hacked console has always been a bad idea so I just don’t go online. I do know there is a few options concerning the emuMMC which trying one of the others may increase your...

Hacking Switch CFW ReiNX after ExFAT to FAT32 does not but from SD card

Sounds like you need to fix the archive bit on the folders. If your using hekate as your bootloader, you can do it before booting reinx. After copying any files to/from pc or Mac, you’re going to want to do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Homebrew How good is Neo Geo emulation via retroarch?

For NeoDS you’ll need old neo roms from ancient versions of mame (0.113 time span I believe) I wrote an updated mame romset converter many years ago adding support for romsets which didn’t work out of the box on NeoDS, if you’re interested in looking at it it’s here...

Hardware Help with picking the correct backlight mod kit for the GBA original

Hardware Help with picking the correct backlight mod kit for the GBA original

If you have a 40pin gba you want the type b cable. 32pin gba doesn’t have the option. It only matters on the 40pin. And yes you really do want that cable even though it costs a couple dollars more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
