    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

Ummm, I think there is some confusion going on here. There are currently only three people that are actually on the team. Myself, sephurchin, and gorzerger. As I said before, I plan to discuss with the team about what we want to do for the script. Nothing about the script has been decided yet...

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

We're hoping to start picking the pace up a little more again in the coming weeks. Things have been busy for all three of us lately. About the names, we do have the recently released Blade Arcus game that features characters from Blade and Hearts to use as a reference. For example, they use...

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

I've added two new job openings to the first post. As for an update on the project, the majority of initial translation for the first part of the menu text is near complete. We are now checking in-game to verify item, Force skill, Force song, etc. effects are accurate to their descriptions. As...

Just a quick update to say that progress is going good and we've started to do internal testing of what we have translated so far.

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

For the last few days, I have been working on fixing the category tabs for the Items menu screen. The tabs are done using textures and the original space given was not enough to fit the text. As you can see, I managed to re-arrange how the text in the texture was laid out and it now fit. You...

@chevkraken Thanks, I'll see about getting into contact with those people. I knew about cyberakuma being mech_gouki on GameFAQs. I was going to send him a PM on there, but couldn't because my board level is not high enough.

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

Success!! Also, an update on the total character count that @flame1234 asked about. The script and general text combined, I get a total of 661,333 characters. Minus the occasional control code, it should still be pretty close. And minus any of the texture based text. Annnndddd... all of the...

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

About helping with translating, I'll send you a PM in a moment. As for difficulty, I've heard it's quite easy except for the extra parts at the end of the game. Maybe if I get to the point that I have nothing else that needs to be done, I'll try to see what it would take to increase the...

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

I don't have a number, I'm currently setting up the spreadsheets with the dumped script. However, it's a JRPG. So the script is quite large. The game spans 10 chapters, as well as the additional side content. Anyone that is interested in getting a sense of the size might be able to get a rough...

    Hacking [Translation] Shining Blade

INTRODUCTION Hello! This is a fan translation project for Shining Blade. The aim of the project is a full translation to English and, as of writing this thread, I have been working on it for about a month. That's a month of hacking and programming to lay the groundwork for the project. And now...

    Homebrew Ctrbootmanager with gateway 3ds?

If you're using CtrBootManager, just open boot.cfg in your SD card root and under entries, add: { title = "Gateway 3DS"; path = "/3ds/GW/GW.3dsx"; }, Above the other boot entries. Save the file and it should work, it works for me.

Hacking [In-Progress] Fate/Extra CCC Translation Project

Project cancelled, translation progress released for any wanting to start a project. After much thought, I have decided to stop my project with this game. I have my own reasons, but the main reason is simply that this game needs a large amount of work on the assembly side of things and I do...

Do those text strings appear early in the game? Because I'll have to breakpoint on them and work backward.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
