I've created a hack which rigs the RNG for CPU's, they will no longer waste time roaming and instead always make the best decision.
I'm looking for more possible tweaks to improve the AI even further, no plausible ideas so far.
See the video description for download.
New preview showing some anti-cheating code I've implemented, there is virtually no way for anyone to modify the game (even a single byte or ROM or RAM!) without it crashing. Nintendo should take notes.
I'm primarily working Super Mario Star World, but If some inspiration comes my way for another multiplayer hack I might make one some time. I also need to focus on getting out updates for various tools and mods I've made so I can eventually drop support for them and reduce my workload.
As the title suggests, I've created a SM64DS mod which makes the entire game multiplayer. The catch here is that it does not use DS wireless communications (since no debugger or emulator exists for these functions) and must be played on a single DS. An explanation of the controls can be seen in...
I'll take that as a compliment haha, it's probably just that I've been 3d modelling a long time. I tend to make a lot of my own textures now which are optimized for DS format.
Oh nice that fixed it. I had to move the files that were in the second megazeux folder into the one with the .3dsx, I'd suggest mentioning that in a readme if there wasn't already one I missed - I had just copied the folder structure from the zip directly to the sd without changing anything...
Is the 'megazeux' folder supposed to be in the same folder as mzxrun.3dsx? Still playing around to figure out why it might be instantly closing
Am I supposed to change 'startup_path' in the config?
Version 1.1 is released. In this version the camera will follow both players, plus player two can control that partner's special overworld action. There are also some bug fixes.
Hi, I am having trouble getting this to work. Both the homebrew launcher and cia version instantly exit back to the homebrew launcher/home menu respectively, no error messages. I am using a new 3ds xl on 9.2.0E.
I've finished version 1.0 of Paper Mario Multiplayer, this allows player two to control Mario's partner in battles and in the overworld.
Download is on my forum so I only have to update one link for new versions: http://origami64.net/showthread.php?tid=727
Feedback and suggestions are appreciated.
I'm on 5.5.1, game still freezes at this cutscene with the update
Edit: Found my fix - I deleted the BOTW update I had downloaded from USB Helper, and installed it directly from Nintendo's update server via the Wii U.
Nuh it was a joke, but I used to bite my nails when I was young, but when I started doing construction work and seen what crap was under my nails, I stopped.
