Hacking RELEASE Lockpick_RCM payload - Official Thread

And it seems github just got a DMCA notice for Picklock_RCM and all of its forks. I know this because I recently forked this to see when it would inevitably happen.

An unfinished Game Boy Color game, Infinity, to receive physical cartridge release in 2022

Also personally backed it, at the "Ultimate Backer's Edition" level. As much as I wanted "Ultimate Collector's Edition", I didn't have the money to swing it.

Tonyhax is a new softmod backup loader for the PlayStation 1

It is kind of a miracle that no developer thought to randomly decide which part of the disc it was reading for checking the protection, in order to defeat the true-stealth chips. You have to be right 100% of the time to remain stealth. the random check only has to ever see the chip get it wrong...

Tonyhax is a new softmod backup loader for the PlayStation 1

What I like about this soft mod, is that any game that is exploitable can be made to load the tonyhax memory card payload and run it.

What's your favourite gaming-related Christmas memory?

The first year I asked for a remote control TV from Santa, I got a Nintendo Entertainment System, which came bundled with Super Mario/Duck Hunt. Back then my hand-eye coordination was not great. Video games greatly improved it. For several years in a row, I had a Remote control TV on my letter...

Is it illegal to hack consoles and release exploits to the public ?

From my reading of the leak, Nintendo seems to try the cooperative route first, but if that completely fails, then they are likely to go down with filing a criminal complaint, using whatever laws apply to the person in their country of residence. In essence, the end goal is if possible, prevent...

    Drawing Arts

There was a time when photobucket didn't have such an obnoxious watermark on externally hosted content. but then, photobucket for a period of time broke ALL photobucket links, with a "Please pay 'An arm & a leg' for hosting service" image. Given how long ago the original post was, the images...

Hacking Discussion “A Dark Room” Developer bundles Ruby interpreter and code editor into Switch release

No way to force purchase the game sadly. Even using a secondary switch, that has access to the game, normally, you can purchase games owned by a secondary account onto your own account, however, the eshop entry page says "Not available for purchase", if you do somehow manage to get a given...

Hacking Discussion “A Dark Room” Developer bundles Ruby interpreter and code editor into Switch release

It can still be redownloaded by those who have in fact purchased it. (I have a secondary switch which I did the testing on, so as to not risk my only copy of the game.)

Switch title "A Dark Room" included a Ruby code interpreter, gets pulled from eShop

I did get the game when I first heard the news of the easter egg, before it was pulled. the game itself is good. I would be happy if they only have to remove the easter egg feature in order to be able to get the game back onto the eshop.

Hacking Error copying NAND to new eMMC

Even a 32GB nand chip is a ban flag, unless its CID exactly matches the one that was in the switch.

    Hacking Key Hypocrisy

As it turns out, Lockpick as well as Lockpick_RCM definitely contains encrypted keys in its source code.

Homebrew RELEASE Nintendo Switch SD to NSP Dumper

Open up the tools folder, and delete "fixedkeys.txt". This will force it to reread keys.txt and update them.

Homebrew RELEASE Nintendo Switch SD to NSP Dumper

Version 1.10 - Jan 12, 2019 Fixed a regression that prevented conversion of NSPs of titles larger than 4GiB. Fixed an instant crash when the required master keys to decrypt and parse a given title are not present. (It now logs on failure indicating what key is required to process the title.)
