Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Alright, thanks to the stackdumps I got (three in total) I think I've found the problem. It will probably be fixed in the next release, I'm awaiting the test results atm. P.S.: This means you can stop posting and sending stackdumps

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

For the people who get the stackdumps. If you use the dol file on the wiki, you can email me a picture of the stackdump, or the numbers of the stackdump (0x80........ --> 0x........ --> etc). DO NOT email me a stackdump of your own compiled versions. For the people with the compilation...

The .elf file contains debug information. If you get a stack dump, we can find the problem (or a direction) using the .elf file. You should be able to load the .elf file instead of the .dol, but it won't give you any benefits.

Exactly, only release candidates and releases will be posted, and I think Google Code is the best place for that. By default beta's will only spread internally, but you can always compile your own version.

Just wanted to say that I'm sorry that I forgot to mention WDM files. Of course, you don't need them anymore, so you can either delete or rename that folder. This was, of course, known by us, I just forgot to mention it. Sorry! Yep, and the code has been committed to SVN. Thank you. I think...

Probably, but I'm not gonna release it until we've squashed some other bugs with this revision. Since r304 we've been experimenting with caching gamelists and changed soundhandling to the code from WiiXplorer, made by dimok. Those changes are not stable enough to be in an official release. Note...

I agree! I missed that one too, and I would've loved to see it Anyway, if it's about GPL and stuff, pfff...anyway, I've opened the sources again, but this time in github (https://github.com/r-win/wiiflow). We can still work on SVN, it'll sync with github for us. Anyway, hope to see/speak you...

Hacking We Dare and CSi games

That will never work, since the cios needs to be initialized, and a module has to be loaded at runtime. The usb loader does that. However, when reloading ios (or cios), it will be in it's initial state, without the module, and without the knowledge of which game you are currently running.

lol, anyway, the shell script didn't execute. It generates alt_ios_gen.c or something like that.

make ios=247 or whichever ios you want to use.

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

You will have to compile a 247 version yourself. The wiki has instructions on how to compile your own version.

Deprecated means that we don't update them, nor support them anymore. Of course you are allowed to use them, I just recommend you don't. But them again, who am I, right?

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Not. It has no priority, and I think you saw us saying that we are going to implement this after we've created a new release. r304 was a Release Candidate, which means we are now focussing on creating RC2. Unfortunately we've had to make some pretty thorough changes to the core system to fix...

The final release will have a replaced music system. We hope to have better support then.

I just reuploaded revision 304 to the Google Code Downloads page, this time with a newer libogc. That means that the crashes with multiple wiimote syncs will be gone with the newly uploaded version. Just because it's Christmas. We, from the Wiiflow team, wish everyone a merry christmas, and a...

Did you know (new item in this thread): You can also set a parental code by a series of keypresses instead of a number. Don't point at the screen for that, and press the keys in sequence when setting the password. Thought that one was nice for the tips 'n tricks section

Portlibs are included in SVN. If you just downloaded the /trunk/source directory, you will not have them. Make sure to download the /trunk, It has a portlibs directory in it, and the Makefile is changed to use those.

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to use the disc for more than only Wii games, you might wanna go for NTFS. It supports big files, like full DVD images etc. If you want this disc to be used on the Wii only, I suggest FAT32. Most homebrew on the Wii only supports FAT32, and also nand...
