    Nintendo is an intelligent (I use that loosely, they did do a few stupid things) and have obviously spotted how quick the Japanese ROM was hacked. They're trying to make it so we have to go buy a copy instead of pirating it.

    Ah, but there is one flaw to that equation. For Nintendo to profit, we need the money. One thing for sure, I can not afford a copy at the moment because I am buying a brand-new computer. So, therefore, me with no money = no profit for Nintendo. Jeeze, it just crashed my card for goodness...

    Okay, sounds so stupid but I've just managed to get 15 events after the third badge... I've been closing my DS when I walk through a door and it flashes white for a second before loading the area. May not be of help but yeah... Keeping to my method of constant saving and softresetting...

    Don't trust me on this, it's just a theory of mine but... Perhaps it's the way that the game reads the card it's on? I 'unno, it could have something to do with the way ROMs are packed?

    Yeah but it didn't crash after ## events. It only froze every now and then and in my experience it was after I traded a pokemon with a NPC, I could do everything else just fine.

    Get the third badge, you'll see. Also, I'm in a similar boat. I turned off DMA and soft reset and it works 'til I hit that girl... Might just load it up to my Japanese copy and pass her...

    I'm using a R4IIISDHC, it's a clone card. It was a heap worse before I did that, it crashed after two events.
