    Best settings for Flycast

I just added the latest CI build of Flycast to my Switch and gettings decent performance on games. Happy! :-) Are there any settings I need to change to get a bit better performance? Also overclocking would benefit Flycast I think. What are the recommended speeds when overclocking for Flycast?

Homebrew Discussion Flycast Dreamcast Emulator Is Coming Soon

Just checked with Redream (on Android 10 - switchroot) and I've got 60fps on Sonic and the other games. For some reason Flycast is capping the games at 30fps.

I've checked a bunch of other games and they suffer the same problem. 18th Wheeler, Looney Toones, Donald Duck, Re-volt.

Homebrew Discussion Flycast Dreamcast Emulator Is Coming Soon

I’m running the Flycast stand-alone nro, latest ci build. Everything is running ok except for some games, for instance Sonic Adventure and Re-Volt, they are capped at 30fps. Any one know why?

Removed old thermal paste and added new --> stuck at Switch boot logo

@linuxares Nope... He removed the cap from a different/spare Switch mobo and soldered it on mine.

Removed old thermal paste and added new --> stuck at Switch boot logo

I would like to thank you all for helping me out! Without you all I would have thought my Switch was dead as Christopher Columbus. I went to a Console Repair shop today and they fixed the little cap that I accidently broke. All is good again! :grog:

What kind of cap exactly needs to be soldered/installed?

No heating. It is clicked in. I used a plastic tool.

I did not remove the cap. I removed the metal casing which sits around the cpu and memory. The cap must have come off by accident.

Well the actual change of paste wasn't that hard. But with removing the metal casing around the cpu I must have hit that cap. Soldering is probably the way to go from what I read but I'm not capable of soldering (this tiny) so I'm screwed. ;-) Lesson learned I guess.

I wanted to renew the paste with some better quality one to reduce fan spinning.

That's what I thought... Never soldered myself. So probably not the smartest thing to do myself. :-(

I just took it apart again and re-attached the wifi antenna. But without luck... Still no joy.

I think the wifi module is broken. When booted into ATM i cannot see any wireless networks at all.
