Gaming Relocator: HG not being able to access save data

You said it's currently difficult, but is there hope on the horizon for this issue to be resolved eventually?

Gaming Relocator: HG not being able to access save data

But do you think it will be doable in time?

Gaming Relocator: HG not being able to access save data

Any ideas how this could be done? I've read nds-bootstrap has some features like this.

Gaming Relocator: HG not being able to access save data

I am trying to use the relocator to transfer a few event pokemon (Entei/Raikou/Suicune + Celebi) from my (fake) cartridge of HG to the TWLmenu copy of White. However, using download play on the DS containing HG, renders a "The save data could not be accessed." message and a "communication error"...

Hacking Homebrew Checkpoint: Moving legit save to bootleg DS cartridge

Update: whereas it doesn't work on HG, on my fake copy of Platinum, I DID manage to restore my save game from my flashcard. I guess this has to do with the lack of IR sensor in a bootleg HGSS, right?

Hacking Homebrew Checkpoint: Moving legit save to bootleg DS cartridge

I have played Pokemon HG on a flash card for a long time, acquiring just about everything in-game. Now it's time to transfer Pokemon (first, by relocator) over to Pokemon White. With that goal in mind, I bought a bootleg HG card, as I want to do the transfer the "official" way, by having my...

Nintendo officially announces the end date for 3DS and Wii U online services

What DLC that I can't get elsewhere must I download before the deadline? Things like weekly puzzles for the Layton games? Other stuff?

Hacking Hardware MigSwitch, i just recieve my sample.

Great to see this out. Before long the floodgates will be completely open and every Switch version is easily softmoddable.

Further information about the upcoming Nintendo Switch "Mig Switch" flashcart has been revealed

This is only the first step in softmodding the Switch. Mark my words: less than 2 years from now, all models of the Switch will be cracked wide open by the warez community and Nintendo isn't gonna give a crap anymore.

    C1-2858-3 error in Adrenaline

I managed to get Adrenaline running normally again. The apparent problem was the wrong file size of some games, which had a file size remarkably low, that turned out to be faulty ISOs. *thread closed*

    C1-2858-3 error in Adrenaline

Still working on it. Managed to rename the PSPEMU folder to PSPEMU2 and in the newly created PSPEMU folder the error did not occur...at first, until I moved all game files over. Then the same thing happened. Now I'm at the stage where I try reinstalling Adrenaline and I get the error "661.pbp...

    C1-2858-3 error in Adrenaline

Adrenaline used to work perfectly, but after adding some ISOs, trying to get the games to appear by clicking on "memory stick", the infamous error code appears and the Vita shuts down Adrenaline. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but the issue still happens. Any ideas?

Hacking Gaming Where to put PCS folders on the microSD?

I want to play Vita games I got from NPS. My Vita has been set up properly already. Instead of connecting the Vita to my PC directly, I copied the games' PCS###### folders over to the microSD root /data folder. Upon reinserting the sd2vita into the console, nothing new appears on the home screen...

Hacking Homebrew How to play PS1/2 ISOs on CFW PS3?

I have the PS2 ISOs in their own maps in the root. Is it necessary to create a PS2ISO folder in the root and put the ISOs there? Like /PS2ISO/GameX.iso, or /PS2ISO/GameX/GameX.iso?

Hacking Homebrew How to play PS1/2 ISOs on CFW PS3?

Even if my Slim is CFW-able, you're saying that with MM/WB already installed, I must go the PS2 Classics route? What about not being able to rip my PS2 discs? Any remedy, besides the obvious?

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
