Sorry but that is BS.
"5. Conveying Modified Source Versions." is not what this app does.
Read "6. Conveying Non-Source Forms.".
Specifically section C.
I totally agree that GPL compliance should be observed when applicable, but in this case you're barking up the wrong tree mate.

How does redistributing a GPL project demand that the distribution mechanism be GPL?
If the source is available via link to github etc. then that seems to cover source availability.
You're getting righteously upset for nothing here.

This is not entirely correct. While you may be able to build the firmware for your target hardware there is no guarantee that it will work. The TP-Link TL-WR703N and several others have failed in real world testing.

@Retr0id I found a TP-Link TL-WR703N lying in a cupboard and used your instructions to build a LEDE image for it.
After flashing and connecting the switch I get messages like this (similar to other users):
usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 14 using ehci-platform
usb 1-1: device...
Seems possible (STM32F205 appears to have host capabilities). The modules seem expensive though... Have you found a cost effective option?
[edit] it's hard to see from the video, but I don't see any battery / power source connected to that dongle. Which makes me doubt its legitimacy. Still the...
Doesn't look like it has USB Host capability:

I think that only kicks in at the STM32F4 level.

Here is my trinket based payload delivery system.
Basically a micro to full size SD Card adapter sandwiched between the trinket and the charger, I'm calling it a Hackwich :)

Can anyone else with a trinket setup confirm that commenting the call to serialPrintHex() causes the transmission of the exploit to fail?
I'm modifying the code for a minimalist trinket + sd solution and removing the call is causing an inexplicable failure. Weird.

Replace RPROG in the module specified above with ~100K and you should be good to go. https://amitjain1980.blogspot.com/2018/03/lir2032-charger.html?m=1

@Ninoh-FOX have you thought about hooking up an sd card to the SPI on the trinket for easily swappable payloads? Looks like there is enough io for this and even possibly a button to switch between payloads.
