Homebrew [PSA] The lastest mGBA nightly runs pretty fast.

Main one that comes to mind is that tilt-sensor games don't work as VC injects. mGBA can, I believe, read from the 3DS accelerometer.

Hardware The best HUB for Wii U? (for Gamecube Adapter, for LAN adapter and for HDD)

I figure any decent powered USB 2.0 hub should work. You can get a good one with like 8-12 ports (likely way more than you'll ever need) in the $10-20 range.

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

That was what I did with the full format, and that one also didn't work. auto full format with 64K clusters worked. Go figure!

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

That was my initial setting, but I used a quick format for that one. I'll try a full format and see where that gets me.

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

Fake Flash Test seems to indicate the card itself is fine. I don't see much point in doing a more thorough test since the drive is by all other accounts perfectly fine and the only thing having issue with it is the WiiU. What did you use to format yours? I was able to do stuff with the...

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

Sure. Are the WiiU utilities known to not work with 128GB+ sizes? The guide mentioned a 32 or 64 GB card.

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

It works fine. It's SanDisk. Again, the vWii mode recognizes and reads this card just fine, and from what I can tell (I filled it up to about 2/3 capacity with Wii homebrew stuff) it is the size it reports to be.

Adapter? This is a full-size card.

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

Stuck the necessary installation tools into a 2GB drive and that worked fine, so I have Haxchi installed. However, if I try to use the 128GB card to launch the HB channel I get a '-4' error. Not sure what that's supposed to mean.

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

Is guiformat.exe capable of formatting in any other type? My understanding is that running a formatter that calls itself "FAT32 Format" would be a FAT 32 formatter. Plus, isn't FAT32 the only format the WiiU can actually read?

Hacking After exploit, "can't mount SD card" error

I can get through the exploit and load into the homebrew stuff or whatever, but then I just get a black screen with an error like "can't mount SD card". First time I got it I ran the SD card through the guiformat utility. Next time the Hax loaded, got the same error. 5.5.2, though I doubt that's...

Homebrew [Discontinued] TWLoader - CTR-mode NDS app

Ah. OK. It's a DSTWO for what it's worth. The games causing trouble were Kirby Super Star and Order of Ecclesia. Other stuff loaded in fine.

Homebrew [Discontinued] TWLoader - CTR-mode NDS app

Sometimes I try to add a game to the launcher but the program hangs at the "Now caching banner data" line. Is this the result of a bad dump?

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Running the most recent nightly and I can only get ~30fps with Genesis Plus GX. n3DS, cia. What version should I be using if I want a smooth framerate?

Homebrew SNES VC injections or SNES emulators?

NES VC probably doesn't support the esoteric extra hardware in Startropics. SNES VC doesn't have the issue because most extra-chip SNES games would be too taxing to run on the (n)3DS anyway

Homebrew 3DS Cracktros - Would they ever be a thing?

I think I tried to run one of the Mode 7 GBA dumps through an emulator on my 3DS and it lagged like hell. This is why I prefer to do my dumps myself.

Hacking After installing A9HL on 4 differnt 3DS', I dont see why people are scared to do it

I wasn't scared to do it. I got careless and needed a hard mod to get it working again

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Yes , that's correct. Since I'm using a 64 GB card, it might also be a formatting thing? Running PCE-CD stuff that doesn't stream CD audio gets me a steady 60 FPS.

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

anybody have any advice for a guy who can't get anything involving CD streaming (in particular, Redbook in PCE-CD and SCD games) to run above 40 FPS?

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
