    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

As always, thanks for the guidance. Updated to the latest WFL beta version, upgraded HBC to 1.1.2, and turned on Force Load CIOS on Startup (For now, I'm leaving CIOS: Auto) In my very limited testing, things look great. It may be placebo effect, but I could swear that my menu browsing is...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

Awesome. I'll put it on my to-do list to upgrade to the latest WFL version and change those settings. Follow-up question - I feel really noobish asking this, but here goes... What's the most efficient way to upgrade to the latest version of HBC?

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

Thanks! It’s been years since I’ve done anything with the HBC version - is there a preferred way to update to a newer version? And looking on the HBC site, it doesn't look like much changed that would affect me from 1.1.0 to 1.1.2 -- https://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Channel#1.1.2 1.1.1...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

OK - So my next big task to cross off my to-do list is to go through all the WiiWare/VC WADs installed to my emuNand, test them and determine which ones work and which ones don't (and why). I have 275 WADs installed on emuNand and they seemed to be or hit or miss upon launch. Sometimes, I will...

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

Someone else may be able to chime in w/ a technical explanation, but to my knowledge - PSP emulation on the Wii in any kind of effective capacity is probably never going to happen .

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

In doing this, how do you get it to display in a user-friendly way in cover flow so there aren't basically 15+ different entries per game due to the multiple .bin files?

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

I'm just popping in here (without an issue or bug report) to just say a major THANK YOU to @Tetsuo Shima - I have a full-time job and limited free time, but I have spent so much time tinkering around with the Wii over the past several years, and the work you have done here (along with some of...

Check the Utilities section in this post. FuzzyRenameEXT and the Bulk Rename Utility applications are helpful to automate some of this process for the covers.

That's how I got it to work at least, and I didn't play long enough to test that out haha

Homebrew WiiSX RX - A new fork.

To the second point - Welp - Don't know how I thought that it was more widespread than that. Thanks for responding. It's incredible that basically 15 years later, we are still making progress with Wii homebrew and emulation. Appreciate what you do. Looking forward to seeing that spreadsheet.

Homebrew WiiSX RX - A new fork.

This project has piqued my interest since it was recently added in an update to @Tetsuo Shima amazing big WiiFlow Plugins Pack. Much like N64 emulation, I have not really spent any time with PSX emulation in the Wii since it has been very hit-or-miss in years past with some compatibility issues...

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

This is absolutely excellent. I did some testing, and I've got a couple notes -- For future packs, you will have to create this folder -- PATH:/wiiflow/plugins/RA-HEXAECO/system/temp If you don't create that temp folder (which can be left empty), people will run into the same issues I was...

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

A couple thIings - 1) No sound is playing when I select any Sega Master System games - perhaps a mismatched OGG file? 2) When I go to select Game Boy Advance, it just hangs on the WiiFlow loading screen (the one with the white and blue logo flanked by the oscillating white boxes) - Doesn't load...

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

I had the exact same issue with my no-intro set. Looking at an earlier conversation in this thread, I went with the GoodSet Lynx roms which solved my issue.

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

No I think that's working actually. To test that, I went ahead and went to my Game Boy section of the source menu (which I have defaulting to use wiimednafen) - First I loaded with wiimednafen, worked fine. Unchecked that box in the "Select Plugins", and instead selected Gameboy (Gambatte lr) -...

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

FINALLY GOT IT RUNNING. It must have had something to do with the .cfg files. As soon as I removed the nes.cfg from the roms/0_RA-HEXAECO folder, I was able to boot up FCEUMM fine! Then, I opened up SNES (which still had the snes.cfg file from your pack, in which I replaced all the instances of...

Hmmm I thought I was going crazy. Well, I still have no idea what is wrong then. Seems like it should be working, at the very least for FCEUMM.

Ugh. I don't. For some reason, I didn't think that the NES, SNES needed BIOS? Why is RA-HEXAECO different?
