Americans: Guns don't kill people its the people using them guns are just a tool so should be legal.
Also Americans: People can use emulation to take a small amount of money from billion dollar corporations, they're in the wrong not the people using them illegally. They must be banned.
It should never have been a public referendum. Its far too complex and issue for the average citizen to fully understand. The public got fed lines about how so much money per month was going to the EU and instead could be used for the NHS,etc. That not much will change as we'll negotiate a great...
At least its mostly just petty squabbling with gamers. Just look at sports fans, especially English football fans. It often ends up with actual fights, destruction of property, etc, etc.
I'm guessing its more to do with the worry that running homebrew code in retail mode could lead to an exploit being discovered. While it sucks to lose retail mode options at least they do offer a mode that can run homebrew officially, unlike everyone else.

It's not semi piracy it's piracy. The morals can vary in your scenario but the law doesn't (The specifics do country to country). Nintendo letting you redownload to other devices is not the same as they are the one's who own the rights so they are free to do whatever they like with the games.
That's because it does support 4K. Having 1440p support has nothing to do with it supporting 4k or not. You're right that it should have been included all along though as it's a weird choice not too support it. The only thing I can think of is that they assumed only TV's mattered so didn't...
