Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

Thanks for sharing that info, I had never considered over tightening the screws. I am in the U.S. and usually turn to GameStop to just trade in joy cons with issues and take the now $6 refurb fee.

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

It’s good to learn about repairing, I can understand that. But Nintendo doesn’t care the age or the issue, it will be replaced with a new joy con.

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

If you are in a country where Nintendo does free repairs I would advise going that route, I’ve seen this on joy cons where the antenna was getting smushed by the shell, pushing the wire further down has fixed it or sometimes the antenna itself just needs replaced.

@AKNES the cables on the Joy Con sticks are longer, minor issue. Not sure if there was a specific reason, I really liked the shorter cables as now they are harder to install. Here is a photo showing what I am referencing. Overall not a big deal, but if you all have any say in the actual design...

Broken Nintendo Joy Cons Pay for Your Gaming and More

45 total, you give an email for each repair so I’m assuming they track by this or maybe address, not sure but they do track it. I received an email at box 45 stating the repair process was for consumers only. Calling Nintendo to get additional information let me know they had flagged my...

Broken Nintendo Joy Cons Pay for Your Gaming and More

Exactly I was doing this as a broader project of personal interest on how gaming companies handle repairs, after about 30 boxes Nintendo starts sending your repairs to a specific area of the building, after about 45 boxes or 90 pairs they classify you as a business and cut you off entirely...

Can anyone tell me what all the Chans exist, where I can access them and which ones are offline?

I think most common chans are 4 and 8. There are other less commonly used spin offs you can find via Google, nothing really good coming out of these sites. You can’t access 55chan through 55chan you are looking for 27chan to access it.

Broken Nintendo Joy Cons Pay for Your Gaming and More

Haha I can see that with the title, I could have chosen something better! Honestly time wise you can ship Monday and have them back Friday, not always, but most of the time turnaround is immediate and they use two day shipping. I’m sure it depends on where you live but the process is fast! The...

    Occasionally Boots after Motherboard Swap

Swapped motherboards between two v1 units. The switch now sometimes boots, the switch was in pretty rough shape so it could be a pre existing issue before swapping. Someone had gone ham and totally destroyed the sd card slot so it’s very possible the motherboard had other damage. I wish I had...

Absolutely great points, curious to see what they do for their next console, the pro controller is great, really good battery life!

Broken Nintendo Joy Cons Pay for Your Gaming and More

I totally agree, I was actually able to gather some really interesting data over the years, just going off repair order numbers they average 450,000 repairs a year in the US. Joy cons can go two pairs in a box, but say we took it for one pair for each repair order at a retail price of 79.99 for...

Initial Mig Switch flashcart units now available and being tested by reviewers

The Mig Switch isn’t in the hands of anyone yet other than a select few. Once it actually ships to everyone you will start seeing files, until then probably nothing. Also assuming Nintendo doesn’t find a way to mess with the supply chain for the product. Being even easier than before, I expect a...

Broken Nintendo Joy Cons Pay for Your Gaming and More

So I did try that with consoles as well, and it’s a great idea! I got more banned and poor condition consoles than it was worth for me personally. In terms of the trade in the left joy con is $13 and right Joy Con is $16, so you really have to get them at a low cost now to be worth it, for most...

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

@AKNES what are we waiting for! With a brand name like Aknes and a central facility to complete the work we could offer a service for affordable controller repairs, especially if we can offer 8bitdo controller modifications as well. I was contemplating going all in on this. I bring a business...

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

I’m moving to more of a hobby anymore to give me more time with my family but I did Joy Cons only last year and averaged $700-$1k a month earnings just doing it part time. I had less than a 2% fault rate as I did my best to test each set and catch any faulty sticks before I sent them out. If you...

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

Yes, directly from GuliKit they have a listing through their store for a quantity of 10 up to 50. If you wait for sales and buy in bulk you can absolutely get the price from their official store. But you will have to buy in bulk of at least 10 sets.

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

For me Amazon is 100% more per set, even on sale still 80% more so I can’t justify that when I need 10+ sets at a time. Amazon is fast but overall so much more than AliExpress for me. When GuliKit runs sales over on AliExpress $10.50 a set is just very hard to compete with.

For anyone ordering from AliExpress it looks like the holiday has started for the Chinese New Year, I was hoping ordering Tuesday the 6th orders may go out but it looks like I will have to wait. Happy New Year to the team and I look forward to more business in 2024 when they return! Looks like...
