Yes, this was exactly the same scenario for me. Loading the kernel works 100% when loading from the original firmware. I've had the same error. Seems I ran into every hardware issue with this card before I got it to work :mellow:. I had whitescreens sometimes after loading the kernel with the supercard firmare (original), this behavior was random -> All the whitescreens seemed to be related to a bad SD card...- coreflake
