    yes, my settings are identical to yours, but it doesn't display a border. The ROM is definitely ok, because it does display the zelda border using other emulators.

    I am using that version. I found the save and then restored. It doesn't seem to have worked though. I appreciate all the help. auto It has one save on it which is the one I found when I used easeUS.

    forgive me for being such a JKSM noob. I selected the title animal crossing and pressed 'save data' which created a file. how do i restore the save? I don't see a menu option for that.

    Thanks again, just out of curiosity, the recovered save file name is shortened. Is that strange? Or are save files sometimes like that? file name is #DS164~2.sav

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
