    Thanks for your feedback and all the tips ! You mentioned Speed 1 is silent a few times but what about speed 2 when OPL is loading HDD/ playing games ? Does the fan spin a lot faster ? Also on which PS2 version (SCPH-XXXX) did you install this mod ?

    Hello Daoxer, I have a PAL SCPH-30004 and when I use internal HDD with OPL the original fan start spinning faster. I was wondering if the Noctua fan will do the same ?

    Thanks for the answer ! I have an original 1TB hard drive that came with the console (CUH-1216B). I would add that my PS4 shutdown itself and the auto saving file become corrupted when this happens. :(

    Yeah but lose 5.05 :/ I replaced thermal paste with Kryonaut and thermal pads with Minus Pad 8 from Thermal Grizzly. I still hear the fan but it's quieter now.

    Here is a photo of my stock thermal pads ( and i didn't move them). Now I understand why my PS4 was hot... Best thermal pads replacement have to be 1mm thick , right ?

    @Hayato213 I disassembled my PS4: heatsink is not magnetizable and be easily scratched. You were right it's not made of steel ! it's inevitably Aluminium.

    Thanks for your answer but i read here and here that 1xxx/11xx are aluminium and 12xx are made from steel. I'd like a confirmation from someone who own this revision and already unmount it.
