    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

For boxcovers, if WiiFlow has already created the WFC (cache) files, the original PNG files are no longer necessary to keep on the SD/USB. However, I would advise to keep the original PNG files backed up somewhere safe if you can. Perhaps on a PC or spare USB drive, just in case.

Nice try, Microsoft! I'll be sticking with TempleOS.

Hacking WiiFlow Lite Theme - Rhapsodii

It warms my heart to see people are still coming here and expressing their appreciation for Rhapsodii. Thank you so much, everyone. To clarify, I currently have no plans to continue work on Rhapsodii. My friend @Tetsuo Shima is doing an amazing job with Rhapsodii Shima. I recommend using it...

Hacking Homebrew app WiiFlow can't launch Wii games and just restarts

If this has not already been considered, it is also a possibility that your USB storage is simply plugged into the incorrect USB port. If your Wii is placed horizontally on its feet, the bottom most USB port on the back is the correct one to use. Force your base 57 cIOS, doesn't matter if it...

Developer shows off SNES raytracing through the custom-made SuperRT chip

Wow. I'd love to see this Super RT chip somehow be implemented into a future Everdrive release and the emulators. It would be a great compliment to the MSU1 audio, fulfilling the technological advancements that may finally fill the void left by the potential of the Nintendo PlayStation.

Homebrew working on a quick little wii racing game

Very much looking forward to this, @newo! Do you have any plans for Wii remote tilt-control steering to be implemented in this racing game?

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

WiiFlow Lite does not natively support disc ripping. It is recommended to use CleanRip instead. Yes, a long time ago, older versions of WiiFlow did support disc ripping. It has been removed due to poor performance and low reliability. You can still boot Wii and Gamecube discs in WiiFlow Lite...

Hacking New GC games that I added to my USB don't show in Wiiflow Lite

You're placing your games in the correct folder directory, they should be showing up. After adding the new games, did you make sure to reload the cache while viewing the Gamecube coverflow? (Press Home while viewing the Gamecube coverflow, then select Reload Cache)

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

@fledge68, I use official Wii-U Pro controllers with WiiFlow on my standard Wii all the time, without any issue. I don't have a Wii-U to test out vWii compatibility unfortunately.

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

Another possible solution. If there are multiple bins for each game, why not just remove bin from the plugin ini's file types and use the singular cue files to load the games instead? I'm not very familiar with Sega CD's behavior towards accepted file types, but I use a similar method to...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

@FrostedWheats , the mediafire links posted by @fledge68 on page 54 of this thread contained beta builds of WiiFlow for testing. The music playlist feature that was added to those beta builds still exists in the current and latest WiiFlow release. So there is no need for those old files. Tell...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

To elaborate, MP3 files are unfortunately not very reliable to use with WiiFlow's music player. MP3 files have a hit or miss behavior with WiiFlow. Sometimes they can work okay. Other times they will create issues. MP3 files can often: - create lag in WiiFlow's performance (especially if...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

@fledge68 , test results for Beta 4 so far. - Custom homebrew covers are working great! - Music resample setting is no longer producing code dumps under any circumstance I've tried. - Single song placed in wiiflow/music shows the song title once, then will loop without showing it again. Song...

Hacking The Great Quest for Wiiflow Plugins™ - A call for adventurers!

Hey, @Tetsuo Shima . I've made some small changes to the WiiMC-SS and Music_Player plugins. - wiimc-ss.ini had an incorrect dol address that prevented the dol from booting. Changed dolfile=WiiMC-SS/wiimc-ss.dol to dolfile=Media/WiiMC-SS/wiimc-ss.dol - Music_Player.ini added file types .PLS and...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

Hmm, I wonder... this could possibly be related. I've noticed that if you only have 1 song placed in wiiflow/music, WiiFlow will not display the title of the song (up in the left corner on Rhapsodii) when it starts to play. And it will continue to not show song titles, even if you select a...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

I just tested out the new dol, but it seems the issue continues to persist. You're right. If you can get the setting turned on, it will stay on, even if you come back at a later boot up before starting a song. You can produce the same code dump error by trying to turn it back off during this...

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

Of course. I will do my best to explain the issue in further detail. You are technically correct in assuming there are no music files in the wiiflow/music folder. I currently do not have any MP3 or OGG files placed in that folder. But, I do have a lot of PLS/M3U playlist files placed in that...

I tested this by using the Source Menu editor in WiiFlow to change a few of my buttons rom directories from SD to USB, and it's working.

    Hacking WiiFlow Lite

Hmm, strange. I'm not having this issue with the test dol Fledge provided. Plugin games seem to all be loading fine and returning to WiiFlow correctly. Wii/GCN games also working. Not sure if it could be related, but all of my plugins use SD as their ROM partition directory. I saw your post in...
