Switch not charging or booting after Rp2040

Relatively recently I decided to install a mod chip on my nephews Switch and it worked for like an hour and then it stopped working and when I tried to reboot it would get stuck at the Switch logo. Would get the error code 2002-3540. It was a mod chip from Aliexpress, but I then switched over...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

It still boots, at least into Hekate. Beyond that it won't boot and now I get an error code about the charging system. Plus it stopped charging in Hekate. I figure I'll change the M92 and USB-C connector anyway.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I have with no good results. At this point the Switch has stopped charging which to me means the M92 chip has failed. Would explain why the Aliexpress mod chip didn't work because the M92 was already having issues. I found a shorted resistor on the Aliexpress Rp2040 chip, which could indicate...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Wish I knew before making all these mistakes. The RP2040-Tiny seems to work and I'm now able to write to the nand without errors. Tried to rebuild the nand after watching the video and I'm still stuck at the Switch logo. This happens with and without launching Atmos. After a number of tries...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Decided to use a thin wire for the 3.3v connection, because I had a mishap trying to do it with a thicker wire. The wire broke off when I was putting the heatsink back on and ended up cover the area with solder, which when I wicked it away had also removed the capacitors. I ended up soldering...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Having a hard time getting the 3.3v line connected. Is there an alternative location for the 3.3v? I found a different location that I think will work for the ground because I'm not a huge fan connecting wires to capacitor locations. I keep either bridging the two caps or I get it so hot that...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I'm gonna try to install the RP2040-Tiny instead of the Aliexpress one. Does the RP2040 Tiny not need resistors installed? No 47 Ohm resistors?

    Picofly HWFLY clone help

I tried and it didn't work. Same problem. I might just get another mod chip like dehydrated_lemur did and see if that fixes it.

Hacking Error 2002 - 3540 on a freshly modded Switch

I removed the resistor and it was 200 ohm's. I thought it had more resistance in circuit. I had an extra flex cable and tried changing that too. So you think I need another mod chip? I might go with the RP2040-tiny route since waiting for anything from Aliexpress takes weeks.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

It beats waiting for Aliepress to send me another mod chip. This video does say a ribbon cable makes it easier. Do I still need mosfets if I reuse the cable? Is there a better instructional video to do this?

Hacking Hardware HWfly-shaped Picofly boards start shipping in China

Having issues with my V1 Switch with the Aliexpress hwfly mod chip and I'm getting errors on my Switch. When I checked the resistance values were the following b = 47 Ohm d = 0 Ohm a = 47 Ohm c = 200 Ohm I then replaced the d 0 Ohm with a 47 Ohm but still issues when "Your eMMC is initialized...

Hacking Error 2002 - 3540 on a freshly modded Switch

Could you tell me which resistors need replacing? This is my current setup. I already found the clk to have a 0 ohm resistor and replaced it with a 47 ohm one. Do I just replace the dat0 resistor with 100 ohm?

Hacking Feedback Picofly - Switch error code 2002-3539 in OFW (17.0.0 and 17.0.1)

I'm running into the same issue, except I think my emmc is corrupt. Is this a resistor issue or something else? I did update my Switch to 17.0.1.

    Picofly HWFLY clone help

I'm having a similar problem. The red dot on mine is 200Ω, while the purple dot was a dead short. The brown and yellow are 47Ω resistors. Got to the point where my eMMC is corrupt and I'm also getting eMMC running in slow mode with errors.

You mean this one? Isn't it the same thing as I have but in a different form factor? Which thread would be for my type of mod chip then?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I tested dat0 at nearly 200Ω in circuit. One image I found shows that it should be 250Ω. The clk was tested as a short so I replaced it with a 47Ω resistor but in circuit it tests at 41Ω. Should I replace dat0 with a 100Ω resistor?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I tried restoring my nand through eMMC RAW GPP and when it finished it said, "Your eMMC is initialized in slower mode! This might mean hardware issues!" When I check eMMC info I see Read/Write fails: 2. I also tried another Switches NAND and had the same problem, but with 3 errors instead of...
