oh my mistake, it should have been ppsspp/assets, that's probably the reason for those crashes then xD this one has the correct folder structure : PPSSPP.7z, just extract it to the root of your SD card. it also has some small improvements over the previous one.

don't delete the whole ppsspp folder, it contains assets required for the app to run correctly... you extracted it from PPSSPP.7z afterall.

that isn't true, you can run any loose rpx just fine, you don't need an extra folder unless you want to add an xml and/or an icon. just copy the content of the archive to your sd and you are set. settings are stored in *.ini files in sd:/ppsspp/PSP/SYSTEM/ , so just delete them if you want to...

if you read the functions names in the screen you posted you would be able to tell which commit from today caused it. it has nothing to do with the shaders.

that's because the background is orange so its color is mixed with the theme color. if you set background opacity to 0 Electric blue will look blue.

yeah as I said, no hosting on WiiU, and no WiiU <--> PC netplay for fbalpha. so that's expected :P try other cores like snes9x or the 8bit cores for now. there is also mrboom, i don't know how stable that one is with netplay.

    Homebrew Official Retroarch WiiU (wip.)

fbalpha might be one those cores that don't work across different machines, if that's the case, you won't be able to use netplay with it until I can fix the problem preventing hosting on the WiiU, assuming it ends up being fast enough anyway xD

announcing games to the lobby seems to be not working from the WiiU at the moment, which is what the message refers to. you should be able to connect to the games hosted on other machines though.

I didn't say that, I said some cores don't support netplay across platforms.

    Homebrew Official Retroarch WiiU (wip.)

Netplay should be working now. keep in mind that not all cores support netplay, or netplay between different machines (like PC<->WIIU netplay for example). also netplay is quite CPU intensive, so some cores will not be able to reach full speed. I only tested it with snes9x and it was running a...

yeah stay away from anything that has constant blinking of the same pixels for prolonged periods (> 10seconds). the display they used for the wiiu gamepad seems to resonate with those, and they get burned in. since you just played for 10 min, the burn-in should dissipate after a while hopefully...

no picodrive works everywhere, it is available on x86 PCs too for example. just the dynarec is arm only but that's not needed for WIIU.

just work with what is there, it is generally better to keep changes to the minimum, not all cores use the same Makefile template, so for some you need specialized solutions. with that said, the Hatari makefile is pretty much standard, what did you find unusual about it ? ah if it is the lack...
