Hacking Followed 3DS Guide, Can't play JPN cartridge in my EU system

Make sure you have the titleID properly set up. It should be one of the two I posted in my reply to this thread earlier. It could also be your text editor. I use Windows, so the default Notepad does the job. I'm not sure if the Mac OS text editor adds anything to the file or if it's stored in...

Hacking Followed 3DS Guide, Can't play JPN cartridge in my EU system

This is an issue with the Animal Crossing games, I ended up corrupting save data before by not emulating the proper region. Try this: /luma/titles/0004000000086200/locale.txt (for the regular Tobidase Doubutsu no Mori) OR /luma/titles/0004000000198D00/locale.txt (for the cartridge with...

    Hardware Swapping motherboards (banned device)

I think it would be better to swap the motherboard if you are more comfortable with ZIF connectors (just don't break them). However, I recall a thread where the screen connections for IPS and TN are different. So either way, it may end up being moot, I'm trying to find the thread that mentioned...

Hacking JP N3DSXL with A9LH SNES VC crashes

Not really sure, all three DKCs games work just fine on my system with their respective titleID TXTs with the "US EN" setting, so I would probably suggest deleting and downloading them again. What version of Luma are you using? Updating Luma might fix it. I'm still on 11.0.0-33J (in case that...

Hacking JP N3DSXL with A9LH SNES VC crashes

That is really weird, I have all three DKCs from FreeShop and used region-language emulation and they work just fine. If I didn't have it, then they wouldn't load and just crash, so I wrote down the title ID from FreeShop and made sure the settings for each game were "US EN" Edit: the banners...

Hacking JP N3DSXL with A9LH SNES VC crashes

Which game is it? I had to use the region-language emulation feature in Luma for my Japanese n3ds for some US SNES VC to work

Hacking Random freeze and then black screen/brick

Post a pic of the 3ds' SD card contents, that will be a telltale sign to see if it has A9LH

    Hacking 3ds XL 11.0 downgrade!!

Posted because I also saw the other thread. Your only options: Sell the JPN New 3ds and use the money to buy one on a lower firmware version. Purchase or install a hardmod to downgrade NATIVE_FIRM. What is so hard to understand about that? If the DSiWare game has been pulled from the Japanese...

Hacking Getting HB on a new new nintendo 3ds JPN

I purchased a Japanese New 3ds non-xl last month and it came on 9.2, so they're still out there somewhere, just takes some luck

Hacking SNES cia game crash and pokemon save issues.

Well, the 3DS stores the save data for Gba vc in the NAND somewhere and this is the only tool I know of that can dump the save data. It's not even that complicated

Hacking SNES cia game crash and pokemon save issues.

You need to use Agbsave9 to extract the save. Run the game you want to extract the save from and then run Agbsave9 and it will dump the save for you.

Hacking Weird Issue W/ A9lh and Gateway

Do we have to uninstall v2 before reflashing an old nand dump to move to v1 a9lh? I didn't do that yesterday and everything seems fine, but seeing this makes me a little concerned.

Hardware Is my non-xl New 3DS dead?

I reassembled it last night, but prior to reassembling it, it would not boot when plugged in. So it doesn't boot anymore, the power light stays on for a bit and then shuts off, none of the screens light up. I think it's dead now, I've spent hours double checking cables, so I don't know what's...

Hardware Is my non-xl New 3DS dead?

I did rush the assembly initially, which is how I noticed it in the first place, but I also reassembled it three times to make sure I didn't forget anything. I'll probably try booting it up without the battery since I don't have a spare, but I think the problem will still persist. I will open it...

Hardware Is my non-xl New 3DS dead?

I have a Japanese non-xl New 3DS and I tried to hard mod it. I was able to complete the hardmod and I backed up my NAND three times to confirm that it was working. I didn't like the mod I had done (it was my first time doing it on my own and it didn't look so good either), so I removed the...

Hardware IPS top screen panel swap possible? Fire Emblem Fates 3DS XL

Oh well, I guess I could just find any screen replacement, or I could find a Pokemon 20th Anniversary 3DS and swap the motherboard or something (I could probably do the same with the Animal Crossing one). I don't mind having a TN screen, it's just that I can't find any screen replacements for...

Hardware IPS top screen panel swap possible? Fire Emblem Fates 3DS XL

Where exactly do you purchase an IPS screen for the non-XL New 3DS? Mine cracked and if I recall it had a TN, so where would I buy a replacement? All I can find is XL-sized screen replacements, but I have a Japanese non-XL New 3DS.

    Hacking Profile Transfer

    When transferring, the requirement is setting up a firmware spoofer, but the underlying firmware can only do a system transfer to another specific firmware: Source : 3.0 <---> Target : 3.0 Source : 4.0-4.5 <---> Target : 4.0-4.5 Source : 5.0-6.3 <---> Target : 5.0-6.3 Source : 7.0-8.1 <--->...

    Hacking Profile Transfer

It's possible using NTR CFW. I must have misread your question, I assumed you wanted to transfer offline.

    Hacking Profile Transfer

Unfortunately it isn't possible, unless you update, since the NNID is tied to the system itself, and Nintendo handles the transfer of NNID from one system to another.
