    So, i went back into FAT32, trimmed the rom and like magic it appears....so i decided, with the trimmed rom that worked, revert back to exFAT and try to boot up the game and no dice...so my file works, just not with exFAT, not sure why nor do i care, but hopefully this thread helps someone out...

    just did the update for the sky3ds+ and to confirm it, pokemon sun and moon worked. Now when I put dragon quest viii (US) in, it doesn't show up in the cycle. Has anyone encountered this too?

    after reading through this forum and 20 other ones, the only solution to get a rom that is 4gb into the sky3ds+ is to trim it....i trimmed mh4u and that allowed me to add the game, but now i can't go online. Is there a way to get the game in with all its features? can i not make my cake and eat...

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
