That is a valid point, but not everyone has the soldering skills required to hardmod their console. This warning/rant was written more for people with familiarity with the software aspect of the 3DS and computers, without hardware skills. In regards to KTM, JustPingo, and the safety of current downgrading methods
I want to preface this thread by stressing that if you don't feel comfortable with the current downgrading method, you should probably stay on 9.5-10.3, so you don't accidentally brick your system.
