    so, I am still at 8.1.0 and with the update to Atmos and Hetake I don't see why I shouldn't update, should I update with Choidujour or directly from the EmmuMMC menu?

    this is the guide I followed a week ago, pretty easy to follow https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/. make sure you update the payload.bin on your RCM dongle as well

    don't hold R on album to access the Homebrew menu, instead, hold R on any title that you have installed, you wil still be brought to the homebrew menu, but you won't be limited to the RAM you can use. more info about that here...

    simply don't update to 9.0, unless you care about online play there is no reason to go to 9.0, heck you're not even forced to update to 9.0 to play online yet

    I can answer a few of these, as I have had some experience with it already. 1- Judging by your response(and the prevous owner's) there is a high chance that it is running AutoRCM already (you can make sure about it by using Hekate's payload and checking under "tools - AutoRCM" more details...

    Imo they should just allow us to upload our own images, I hate the default ones. Xbox did this a year or so ago, they allowed you to upload any picture as your gamerpic, but once people started posting "Sexual" images they started warning and banning people from using custom images , 3 strikes...

    So it seems like the console still checks the cert of the game from the cart even if the cart is not present right? That would explain why the game won't go online without the original game being inserted first.

    Yeah , that's why I was saying that keeping a fully updated synand where I can play online while having a emunand which never connects to the internet sounds more appealing now, I will wait 1 month after the release of Atmosphere/or a Backup loader and see how things go, then I will decide...

    That makes me wonder is staying at 4.1 is not as worth it now, Having a fully updated sysnand where I can play all my legit games while keeping a emunand which nevers connects to the internet kinda sounds more appealing now, (I don't mind the jig, so it shouldn't be a problem)
