Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

Whenever I had usb connectivity issues, it was always the wires going to the d+ and d- points. Make the wires as short as possible or try a different wire gauge.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I bought an oled chip a few weeks ago for $100. Installed it this morning. Still don't care... Switch games are $100 a piece (CAD w/ tax). Still well worth it. The installation is a hell of a lot cleaner than the spaghetti rpi2040. Some quick solder designs need to come out for the homebrew mod.

No Wifi on switch after Hwfly install - 2110-1118 Error

Late to the party but posting if someone else has this issue. You likely knocked off one or 2 smds on the left hand side of the APU, these feed the data lines to the wifi module. I've fixed this on an oled as well as a standard switch.

Tutorial Xbox One Internal Hard Drive Upgrade or Repair: Build any size drive that works on any console

Formatting doesn't matter, as the tool will do its own thing as far as partitioning the drive . I had a drive say "missing "system update partition" as well, and it was also the drive out of the system that would immediately error and not boot. I think the update partition corrupts itself...

Tutorial Xbox One Internal Hard Drive Upgrade or Repair: Build any size drive that works on any console

Has anyone with the E105 (or various other error codes related to hdd issues) w/ the capacitor issues notice that putting a SSD in completely negates the problem?. After trying 3 or 4 known good mechanical drives, I decided to throw a SSD in that I had laying around. Sure enough, worked...

Tutorial OLED HWFLY Success! Be careful with that LCD Connector, How I replaced mine.

This was my first attempt at doing the lcd FPC connector. I didn't even melt the Nand connector or the fan connector so I call it a success. All i had to do was touch that one larger solder ball w/ the iron and it was good to go. You can check your connections w/ fine tweezers, you can...

Tutorial OLED HWFLY Success! Be careful with that LCD Connector, How I replaced mine.

I did the lcd connector oopsie a while ago. Theres zero chance you can ever straighten out those pins. I just kind of laughed and said "i guess its time to practice replacing fpc connectors". You can source from donor board or just outright replace those fpc connectors via heating the...

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

There's definitely a fresh dab of arctic mx under the cpu cooler that you can't see. The shielding does almost nothing for thermals as 99% of the cooling is done via the heatpipe to the heatsink, it's main purpose is for RF compliance. I have the shield cut nicely around the trinket on my other...

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

If you use the alternate points on the back of the board and route the wires around under the foam area by the fan (they won't get pinched here at all) you can get a really clean looking install. Hot glue works good to secure wires to the pcb and can be peeled away if need be.

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

Just going to add this again here as I had to skim through the entire thread to find this out, If you have any USB connectivity issues after install, (trinket injects fine, but you lost USB connectivity with pc/game controllers) it's directly due to wires being too long for USB D+ and D-. I was...

    Hacking COD Mobile Joycon Support

The game does support gamepads, I can get a ps4 controller to work, however the switch joycons won't even with the lineage "xbox controller" addon. It's kind of strange, since the joycons work fine with max payne mobile and the grand theft auto games.

Hardware POLL: How bad is your joycon drift

its not a matter of how "baboon" like you are on the joycons, it's literally down to hours of use... I just took apart a set and cleaned the internals (took the actual joystick assembly apart and cleaned the PCB) Worked fantastic, and beats sending more junk to Ewaste. People try and use q...

The Xbox Series S has finally been officially confirmed, with price set at $299

If the S only needs to run games at 1080, or 1440 tops... they won't be severely degraded. I'm willing to bet on anyone with a >50 inch tv you'll barely even notice much of a difference between the X or S when sitting at typical livingroom distances from the tv. 4k takes essentially 4x the...
