Homebrew Discussion Post homebrew ideas, suggestions, requests here

For vgedit, it's on my TODO list: https://github.com/vgmoose/vgedit/issues/7 Sorry about that. For goldleaf: https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/issues/635 and https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/issues/427 look relevant. NX-Shell, looks like it should support it. If you have a screen shot...

    Homebrew COMPLETED NRO Asset Editor

Looks good to me! I also like that you used QT instead of tkinter because if one UI doesn't work on an OS, then users can try the other one. Also totally agree, organization is so important for this kind of stuff! Even if it's technically more work, at least it's also self-satisfying.

Homebrew "nx.js" - JavaScript runtime for Nintendo Switch homebrew applications

Very useful, fun, and a thoughtful implementation too! Having a standalone NRO is huge for adoption, and all JS tooling rocks!

    web based homebrew repo manager

Thanks for fixing the dependencies in the barkeep codebase! Kind of funny that at the time I thought adding docker would future-proof it, yet the versions for both the requirements.txt and the docker image weren't pinned. As noticed here, we went through a few different ways to organize the...

Homebrew Collection of old devkitPro versions

At least for docker, pulling and pushing them to Github or Gitlab's container registry should be pretty straightforward. Really annoying move from Docker here...

Homebrew Collection of old devkitPro versions

Thanks for having the conversation, and I agree with much of what's been said, but these two statements still seem in conflict with each other. A community of people is going to do "stupid" things, and we should hold firmly that a DMCA should never be understandable or acceptable to issue in...

Homebrew Collection of old devkitPro versions

I believe it makes more sense to treat dkP as an "organization whose decisions can be annoying" (like Nintendo, Microsoft, etc), that's just also not-for-profit. They make a free toolchain, and help make crucial decisions in the homebrew ecosystem, but that doesn't mean they don't still have...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Aroma Environment for Wii U

Maschell said this on RA in the Aroma discord: That makes is sound like RA could be one main wuhb, and then still separate rpx's for the different cores loaded using librpxloader. I did starting trying to look at the Makefile/RA compiling process to try to see how these enhancements would be...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Aroma Environment for Wii U

The actual act of creating a wuhb (via makefile) involves updating to a more recent WUT, and adding a few lines to the makefile: - new wuhb build target (this invokes wuhbtool on the rpx after it's created) - specifying image assets (without these, I found wuhbtool would not be called) It...

Hacking COMPLETED [RELEASE] SDLLopan for Switch - a simple Mahjong Solitaire game

Hey, I know this is an older app, but it looks like this file sets off a virus scan: ./switch/SDLlopan/data/bg28.pcx BC.Img.Exploit.CVE_2018_3870-6497366-2 FOUND (according to clamav) False positive? I figured I would post here anyway. The CVE: https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-3870

PSA: Do not try updating Atmosphere files from within HOS

@SciresM Your response is overwhelmingly illuminating and fair. I don't have anything significant to add-on or follow-up with to it. The explanation makes perfect sense. Thank you for laying it out and taking the time to respond.
