Homebrew How to I set cpu overclock for launching slot-1 flashcart from TWiLight Menu++?

hmm, I can't seem to get TWLMenu++ to autoboot flashcart at twl clock... dsi touch mode just breaks touch screen functionality on every NTR game. something might also be bugged, because I was able to switch between viewing system sd and flashcart contents from TWLMenu++ last night and now...

Homebrew How to I set cpu overclock for launching slot-1 flashcart from TWiLight Menu++?

I thought for some reason most flash carts only support 2gb, or up to 32gb cards in the "sdhc" style clones. I suppose i don't know why a larger sd card wouldn't work when formatted fat32...

Homebrew How to I set cpu overclock for launching slot-1 flashcart from TWiLight Menu++?

This sounds like a much better way of doing things! I didn't even know that was possible, thanks for the link! 1682736667 does this also mean I could potentially launch roms located on the system sd with the flashcart launcher? to bypass the 32gb sd card restriction?

Homebrew How to I set cpu overclock for launching slot-1 flashcart from TWiLight Menu++?

Okay so here's the deal... I've got a N3DSXL with the latest version of TWiLight Menu++ and an Ace3ds+ clone cart. I want to launch the slot_1 flashcart from TWiLight Menu++ with cpu overclock and audio enhancement enabled, but I cannot find a universal setting for clock speed, I can only see it...

    Homebrew CTR_Redshift - hardware-based blue light filter for old3DS and 2DS

This is great, nice work! My dual ips n3dsxl had mismatching color temperatures. Is there a DSi XL equivalent homebrew that lets you calibrate the screen color and temperature? The DSi XL has the best screens for DS games since it's the largest 1:1 screen you can play them on and they're ips as...

ROM Hack [Translation] Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3

So just realised my 3ds crashed every time i try to create a new character with anything but default settings, and also crashes when the first cutscene ends and i get to take control of the character, making it unplayable. Does anyone know what i did wrong? EDIT: I just tried the whole process...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

So, a few months ago I heard someone talking about there being a possibility for something like a network for hacked and banned 3dses to play online again, if only with other hacked 3ds users. like a private Nintendo server? Does anyone know anything about this? I'm sure it's been done before...

Hardware So I stacked a N2DS on a N3DS and discovered something... odd?

Sorry if someone else already discovered this, but I just found this odd... I was comparing my New 2ds xl with my New 3ds xl and i discovered when i put the 2ds on top the 3ds in a particular way, the 3ds enters sleep mode? Can anyone explain to me why this might be? My N3DS XL has b9s...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

No my digital copy wasnt downloaded before it was released, and i have not made any edits to the save at all, it is completely legit aside from the fact i transferred it to the cartridge from a digital cia version. The system its om is banned, so i got a new 2dsxl (speakers suck) to be totally...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

If i use JKSM to transfer a save from a digital cia version of pokemon moon to a cart version, then play that cart in a stock legit never-been-hacked 3ds, could that get the clean 3ds banned?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
