Homebrew Saturn emulation using Cotton/Guardian Force testing and debug

The .ini suggested in this thread for Sega Rally might play okay, but the audio does a lot of speedup/slowdown pitchiness at times. Not sure why and I'll obviously tinker, but it definitely needs more tweaking. Just an FYI :)

Homebrew Space Cadet Pinball Switch port

This is working amazingly well. But for some reason I can't get it to load CADET.DAT. Updated the .ini and made sure the file was in the same folder as the .nro, but the logo/picture on the right hand side still looks like the Windows one. It looks like this: I think it should look like this...

Homebrew Space Cadet Pinball Switch port

Is this supposed to have music? Otherwise it works great but I can't hear that classic Windows MIDI soundtrack :(

Homebrew Saturn emulation using Cotton/Guardian Force testing and debug

For what it's worth, Tempest 2000 has colour issues as well. But it's not unique to this version of the emulator (SSF), the exact same thing happens on the PC version of the emulator too: The below circle should be a dark blue that fades to black in the middle, but instead it's grey: It should...

Homebrew Saturn emulation using Cotton/Guardian Force testing and debug

To echo a post I made earlier (but with some more detail), can anyone tell me where to find the save file mentioned above?

Homebrew Saturn emulation using Cotton/Guardian Force testing and debug

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I know where the ini file goes and the naming, but apparently have to delete a save file otherwise the ini won't be read. I don't know where that save file is :)

Homebrew Saturn emulation using Cotton/Guardian Force testing and debug

Tempest 2000: Boots, but menus operate very slowly even with full OC. Once the game itself loads it's like the screen doesn't clear , so it's all blurry and you can't make out anything. Default settings used for .ini. I would try to change options in the .ini but I need to clear the save file...

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

Does the full 3.1 release do this too, or is it just the nightly?

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

I know this is an older post, but the newest full release of Lakka (3.1) includes Flycast by default, so this individual core file isn't needed. Not sure if there are any other differences in the included cores between 3.0 and 3.1, though.

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

Awesome, thanks for that! I did have an older .so file that I put in the cores folder that seemed to work, but for some reason the controller mapping was broken. Maybe the one you posted is better!

Homebrew RELEASE L4T Lakka Switch - now with audio and Vulkan

Perhaps I'm missing something, but should this have included the Flycast core? I know it was compiled for the old Lakka build but I can't see any trace of it here.

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Easy fixed! If you go into the quick menu and Options (not control options), there's some option to map directions or something to analog or digital, and the default will already be set to analog (it's one of the first few lines, you'll see it). Change it to digital and it'll go to the d-pad...

Homebrew RELEASE The Ur-Quan Masters MegaMod for Switch

OH MY GOD. This makes me so happy, contemplating keeping my Switch in homebrew mode from now on. The one thing the Vita/PSP had over it was this. Edit: is it possible for this to closely resemble the PC release at all? I've never played the Megamod, but would prefer if all the locations...

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Hey, I managed to find the fix for #1! I setup logging as written here, and at least in my instance the lockup was happening when trying to read the MAME-2003Plus cheats.dat file. Mine was located under /retroarch/system/mame-2003plus/cheats.dat, which I just completely deleted and now it loads...

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Had a look through this thread, but has anyone else had problems with the MAME cores taking forever to load and practically locking the system up? To the point where it looks like it's crashed but will eventually load the ROM after literally 10 minutes. And trying to close the app from Horizon...

Hacking [RELEASE] PFBA: Portable Final Burn Alpha - official thread

I know it was asked way earlier in the thread, but does the current version/build support NeoCD? I found references to build files in the GitHub but I don't know if that means anything or not.

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

I tried running Bangai-O as a CHD as well but got serious slowdown/halting whenever there were explosions. This is with the USA version as the Euro one didn't boot at all and just crashed. The popups on loading ("Loaded core overrides successfully") seemed less smooth, so I don't know if it's a...

Anyone able to get ECWolf working? Or having issues with it?

Anyone able to get ECWolf running? I can't get it going with either the shareware or full versions.

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Anyone know if/when we might see the ECWolf core ported over to Switch? I've tried myself but I'm useless at attempting this sort of stuff. Edit: Never mind, it's there :D
