ROM Hack Question Octopath traveler Rom mod/sprite editing

I want to archive something like replacing tressa's runelord sprite with her starseer sprite. But doing so will most likely require unpacking and repacking of the game rom. BTW I am using nsp with tinfoil...This might be a long shot...are there tools that can do this kind of thing? Thanks.

If you have TTL pads on the board you can just solder pins on there and use a usb to serial cable to get to uboot. If not then you are SOL. Not all models can be flashed via telnet.

Hacking [No longer maintained] RajNX - starter pack for Nintendo Switch

A little question on installing nsp update and DLCs using tinfoil. Could there be a prerequisite issue between the two? Say for splatoon 2, I have a 2GB update and the octo expansion DLC. Does the DLC depend on the update? How do I tell? If that is the case, what happens if I install the DLC...

Hacking [No longer maintained] RajNX - starter pack for Nintendo Switch

This is indeed the best and easy to use CFW right now. Included tinfoil is relatively straightforward to use as well. This + Choi and you are all set! Many thanks to raj.

Hacking COMPLETED Fusee-LEDE Dongle (6$ payload injector)

I assumed it was for charging as powerbank, didn't think too much about it and always used the usb-3g. However I do recall seeing usb1 and usb2 in /sys/bus/usb/devices Yeah I also think this could potentially have othe useful applications. For one you could plug in a usb HDD and have it host...

Hacking COMPLETED Fusee-LEDE Dongle (6$ payload injector)

FYI this worked for me: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/282908565417 Look better than the no name usb stick IMO. Has multi-color LEDs and I managed to get them to work indicating boot status, rcm switch plugged in and payload injection status. Quite cool IMO. It also has a 5000mah(18.5Whr) battery...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hmm...ExFat supported devices are everywhere and I've never seen one that require manual installation just to track for licence. A google search also shows that Microsoft charges a flat fee for licensing exfat. But who knows. It could be true that Nintendo has to pay a licensing fee for each...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

That could only mean the exfat update is already in the firmware update files, that button press is just a switch to install it. Which means Nintendo purposely left it out during OFW updates just to make you do that extra system update for exfat...Wow such an ass move to force people to be on...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Btw, when you updated to 5.1 using choi did it automatically add exfat support? Or did you have to do the long process in the tutorial forum? I am getting mixed info from read the threads @_@

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Thanks to both of you. Indeed it makes a lot of sense to go to 5.1 OFW as I can't see if staying on 4.1 will yield much benefit. And games and DLCs requiring 5.0+ fw.... And the worst part is if I back up my 4.1 NAND and go to 5.1 with choi, then accidentally messed up autorcm, I'd boot 5.1 and...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Wait...I thought the exfat support came with 5.0+ firmware...I just found out that it is a separate "System Update"? Oh boy...That means it is pointless to go to 5.1 with choi then...Since I don't want to go online, I might as well just add exfat on 4.1

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hi I have a new 4.1 switch this is what I am planning to do: RajNX -> Dump NAND ->use choi to update to 5.10 to get exfat without fuse burn -> RajNX with tinfoil to load nsp. The questions is how do I back up a 32 gb NAND without exfat support? Do I put in a 32gb card in FAT32 and somehow the...

Why not? SX seems to have no problem loading XCIs and their customers are happy. XCIs are much easier to use too. Just drag and drop.
