    Your cable is standard Y-cable where power from 2 usb port of one device is combined. You need Y-cable with external power separated from device connected to hdd.

    Set r/w file permissions. I had same situation with MHXX save and solved it by setting read & write permissions for everyone in file options on pc and then restoring it with jksv.
