Just to give you a hint: grey are all unofficial builds. I can't separate them, since they don't use a proper build name. But as you can see all the hacky stuff they added reduces speed.
So if you really want the fastest Citra that is available now: Use Canary. And it's also visible that all...
See thats the stupidity. Thats not Valentine's stuff. Thats work from Phantom and jroweboy and is in the official canary build. Valentine just took it and now claims it as his work
If you didn't ready Selbys message. It wasn't me who started that with such comments and private messages. Did I mention that I get messages from those unofficial builders asking for my unfinished code so they can throw it in their builds, so they can claim their builds are the best... Thats...
Telemetry isn't hurting from unofficial builds, since we easily can distinguish them from the data we receive. Actually if unofficial builds would use a build name, we could also say how better/worse some specific unofficial build is. Since they don't I can just answer in general: On average...
It's because we have to do it in private repos or they will result in unofficial builds before it is finished in a hacky way, which will divide the user base even more. We once had it with my threaded video core PR. But if it is in private other devs can't really help. So for the GP release we...
That fix is the one I introduced. It is for now just for reads. There needs also a delay for write/create/delete. And thats the reason it isn't fully functional.
And your last commit is one of the reasons I'm angry. That is one of the stupid hacks. But since it helps and fixes some games, no...
Official citra is what the core devs agreed to put into the code. The according builds are canary and nightly.
Then there are unofficial builds where someone took some additional code (mostly unfinished code from an core dev) or some hacks that make one game work but breaks some others.
But...
Sad thing is it does matter and the big GPU update was almost impossible to release because of unofficial builds. You probably don't get the point. But unofficial builds are harming the main development. I wouldn't rant about it if that wouldn't be true. So yes users want speed and they want to...
All I'm saying is he should stop wasting his time with stupid hacks and do proper reverse engineering and coding to be really helpful to Citra, instead of harming it. Same is probably also true for you.
And yes Pokemon US/UM photo shop was fixed (by me).
It's not just they draining test samples they are actually harming Citra. So if you really want to have a good citra, just don't use unofficial builds, don't say they are better (cause they aren't) and just use the official ones. So don't blame the devs if they shut you down if you ask for...
You write the homebrew to test it, test it on your 3ds and then implement it in citra. Or you dump system files, disassemble them, and try to figure out what it does. Although the latter could be very challenging
True. My critic is that @valentinvanelslande says it fixes it and that his builds are the best. He showed in the past that he could contribute to citra. But he stops when he finds the band aid and says that is the fix, when it clearly isn't. With those hacks the motivation in finding a proper...
Like I said, with ticks you figured out that some instructions need more time, but the solutions isn't to change the timing of all instructions but figure out which instruction needs the adjustment and only change the timing for that.
But your ticks stuff is just an ugly lazy stupid hack... AND...
Then it's OpenFile. But it's still a hack... Why don't you measure it? Then add the measured delay and it then it's a proper fix.
And ticks: Do you even know what that is. Users for sure don't. So why make it changeable for users? Thats for sure the worst hack you ever made... So just to wrap it...
TBH Your builds are, and that is mainly because you are just incredible lazy.
Let me give you some examples:
Your read delay. Instead of going the extra mile and actually measuring the delay depending on the read size(the code for that is available), you just add a fixed number.
Your stupid...
btw i feel this a good time to remind you guys that sea of thieves was made by rare, who also made DKC1-3 and DK64, alongside banjo kazooie and conker's bad fur day
