    Hacking Modifying Wii U NAND

Can you explain? I've tried System Config Tool, as well as the Video mode changer homebrew, as I have already said, and neither of them work.

    Hacking Modifying Wii U NAND

Specifically, I want to change the video format from NTSC to PAL (there's a specific reason for wanting PAL video settings with Xenoblade Chronicles). The video format changer homebrew kind of works, but the changes are only applied in memory and gets cleared when you launch a WiiU VC game.

    Hacking Modifying Wii U NAND

Hi, I was wondering what tools I would need to modify my Wii U's NAND by hand. I have found there are tools for dumping the NAND and for extracting the files from it, but I was wondering about injecting modified files back into the NAND image, and then reflashing it to my Wii U? I want to...

    Hardware Bypassing Gamepad region lock

I'm not sure what was up with the version I found from the cached anus trade site. I installed the iAqua one and got my other gamepad paired! Thanks a ton for all the help

    Hardware Bypassing Gamepad region lock

When I run it I do not hold a button. It returns me to the system menu, at which point I can run other stuff that was installed to my system menu (i.e. homebrew channel, WUP GX2 installer, other games, etc)

    Hardware Bypassing Gamepad region lock

For enabling sig patch, I just launched Haxchi. From what I am aware, Haxchi includes sig patches. The zip I got from the cache of Punderino's site had a SHA1 of: e5f201e9ec482cf68c6e5a08aa740aa5ab1ea40f The rar I got from iAqua's pastebin had a SHA1 of: 3bdddf4b35c8735fd277ccfcf7b4058f43ce2bcf

    Hardware Bypassing Gamepad region lock

Ah ok. I might have found the download link from a cached version of Punderino's site from 2019. This should be fine right? Edit: I tried installing the version I found linked from Punderino's site and I get an error "Install failed. Verify WUP files are correct & complete. DLC/E-Shop require...

    Hardware Bypassing Gamepad region lock

Thanks for the info. From my reading, most of the suggestions from 2 years ago suggested using either Mocha and/or RedNAND. I am very unfamiliar with WiiU CFW variants: will Haxchi work just as well? Also, I was not able to find Punderino's direct version of it as their site seems to be down. Do...

    Hardware Bypassing Gamepad region lock

Hey guys, I was just curious if there is any better info on bypassing region locks on the gamepad in 2020. I was able to find a plethora of threads about this from the past, but most of them just said "look at the information on this one site" (the anus trade one) which seems to be taken down...

Tutorial How to fix when new Hekate breaks SD card on Linux

So the new Nyx update for Hekate 5.0 made an assumption that Linux could use some deduction skills, but apparently not. If you migrate your emummc/emunand partitions to the new format using Nyx, then it'll change some partition stuff on your SD card that could cause Linux to not mount your...

Hacking PSA about IPATCHed Switches and supernag.

Very good point. There is currently an issue on the Atmosphere repo requesting to automatically dump biskeys along with PRODINFO, so hopefully that is done soon to save some people.

Hacking PSA about IPATCHed Switches and supernag.

This can clear standard nag, but it will not clear supernag. (I'm not sure the difference between causing each) (This was as reported by another user, I suppose I'll go test it myself real quick) Edit: I have tested it myself now, and can confirm maintenance mode/system initialization will not...

Hacking PSA about IPATCHed Switches and supernag.

While as of the last couple days thanks to tremendous effort from people in the community such as SciresM, hexkyz, and deer/liuervehc, we now have patched Switches on 4.1.0 Firmware running Atmosphere/emuMMC on 8.1.0. Unfortunately, some further requirements were not made exactly clear...

Hacking Hekate 4.6 released. Sleep mode works /w burnt fuses

Fuses do matter though? You can't run exploits on latest firmware Switches without RCM. Yeah RCM is pretty damn good, but it can still be inconvenient. On a 4.1.0 or lower Switch however, your Switch is vulnerable to Deja Vu or other exploits that don't need an RCM payload to get custom firmware...

ROM Hack RELEASE Smash Ultimate (Partial) Data.arc Extractor/Inject Tool

Xenoblade 2 had a similar system with an ARD and ARH file, but we ended up coming up with a way to inject modded files back into them. Also when DLC came out we found the DLC titles had the files bare inside of the NCA instead of in an archive and we can just use LayeredFS on the DLC title. Who...

Homebrew Help getting Xenoblade Chronicles running on NTSC Wii U VC with PAL video settings

Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the few games that runs faster on PAL than NTSC, since to compensate for 50Hz the developers decided to make the character to run like 40% faster or something. I have an NTSC Wii U but I feel there has to be some way to get it to run using PAL video settings. There...

Hacking Question Sending my CFW switch for repairs. Should I be worried?

Any recommendations of good sources for these types of 3rd party repairs? My switch needs a bit of internal repairs since I was being silly at one point

Hacking Discussion Deja Vu/Jamais Vu/Other Soft exploits - Are they still worth the wait?

You can still boot to OFW, you just have to use Hekate to get there as the standard boot will burn the fuses, but Hekate will skip that step. Just because you are using Hekate doesn't mean you are using CFW, you can use Hekate to boot OFW

Hacking Discussion Deja Vu/Jamais Vu/Other Soft exploits - Are they still worth the wait?

IDK personally about other scenes, have never really been involved in hacking scenes outside of the Switch, but so far TX is yet to release some useful, original exploit for the Switch. Everything they have release so far has already been published by other groups, and in a lot of cases have...

Hacking TX Announces support coming soon for unhackable Switch units

As of right now they haven't found anything. If they have they can show it, but they aren't. As people have pointed out, you don't need a bootrom exploit to dump ipatches
