    PSVita internet over USB?

*Skip first paragraph for "straight to point"* Hello, I joined a bit late to the party, I just bought my first PSVita to replace my switch as Moonlight device. I have a DIY cloud server at home and I am using it together with my switch to play, but despite the design I think the switch is too...

Gaming Homebrew Godot porting of pre-compiled games?

Hello, back when Renpy and Unity games started surfacing on the Switch, people found ways to use those game's engine to run other games on the switch, by modding assets and whatnot. I was wondering if something similar can be done with Godot. I see there's a port of the engine, but from what i...

    Picofly AIO Thread

Supply to the Pico was 3.27V, but I used awg 30 for everything, although there was no voltage sag, I don't think it was a power issue. I suspect it was something with the MOSFET, but I am not sure whether or not a bad fet would cause RST issue.

    Picofly AIO Thread

Checked with microscope it is connected. Also tried on the EMMC board right away, still nothing. Also tried undoing all my connections and doing all from 0, still RST error. I suspect it was rather a software issue, I tried .74 and .75, but ive read that on clones (I use a Tiny from AliExpress...

    Picofly AIO Thread

I installed the PicoFly on the Patched V1 XKJ4 I have, I think I installed all correctly, but I'm getting yellow blink with black screen. Ignore the long wires, they are temporary as I was just testing the Pico, and the soldering connections are sturdy. The Motherboard is a HAD-CPU-001, the one...

    Hardware PicoFly or PicoCra*?

are you using a different mosfet than the suggested IRFHS8342? if not, what is your experience with single-mosfet builds? I see it's suggested to use 2 of them, i spent some time to pre-build a couple of dual mosfet balls of goop with just wires coming out, so that on-field i don't have to go...

    Hardware PicoFly or PicoCra*?

Another thing, i've seen "alternative mosfet location" for OLED and they seem to work. Are there Alternative mosfet location for Patched Erista too so i can avoid soldering on the SOC?

    Picofly AIO Thread

For the patched V1 (XKJ4 is patched V1 or a V2 model?) what is the alternative location for the mosfets? Although im ok with it, i'd rather not disturb the APU

    Hardware PicoFly or PicoCra*?

getting a rp2040-zero indeed looks like the best choice, but what about the mosfets? Ive seen sellers on Aliexpress selling just the flex cable with mosfets, considering children's violence i'd not want to risk putting bare mosfets in, maybe i should invenst in one of those flex.

    Hardware PicoFly or PicoCra*?

Hello, i am an experienced electronic technician and spent many years doing microsoldering for work and pleasure. I was lucky enough to get an unpatched Erista back in 2018 and it has been working flawlessly with AMS ever since. A friend of mine recently got what before was called a V2 (is it...

Homebrew RELEASE Moonlight-Switch - Nvidia Game Stream client

i didn't test v1.0.0 yet, but compared to the previous version, running the standard moonlight under L4T Ubuntu had much better performance and more stability compared to the NX homebrew.

    Atmosphere Wireguard module?

Yeah but that's the point, custom rom or at least magisk is required to share vpn on android, with very few exceptions of official OS supporting that feature. Regarding the CPU load, it really depends on the use case i'd say.

    Atmosphere Wireguard module?

Hello, Is there any Wireguard module for a CFW Switch? My original idea was to share the VPN on my phone via hotspot, but turns out Android purposedly doesn't share VPN connections to hotspot clients. Modules like lan play and similar make me believe that a Wireguard module is possible, but...

Hardware Pro Controller Motherboard missing Component

from the layout id guess its a small mosfet, even because after jump starting the battery with a tp4056, the controller works fine, bluetooth connects, it syncs and all the buttons are working. The controller however, drains only 24mAh while it should be charging.

Hardware Pro Controller Motherboard missing Component

Hello, i recently purchased a non-working Pro Controller for really cheap, i thought the problem would be the typical dead battery or charging circuit, but it seems that a component has been tore from the motherboard. Can someone help me identify what it was and eventually alternative solder...

    Hardware Battery Gauge Calibration

Hello, i abbandoned my switch for a while, when i got it back up again it showed still 100% battery, obliviously fake as the voltage was 3.2V, the borderline for dead battery. The switch turned off itself, so i cycled power few times and it was able to correctly charge and work again. Problem...

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
