ROM Hack RELEASE EmuTool - Move partition Emu on another SD, Switch Emu type on SXOS and more

Any way to use this to transfer emunand to sysnand? The conversion only supports file based emummc rather than the rawdump format of hekate. So far tried nxnandmanager rawdump of emunand then restore to sysnand failed.

    Editorial XREAL Hub Impressions

Even though this reads more like an ad, I love how XReal finally decided to make their own solution for this problem they created. They probably noticed that users were buying from Rokid since their "hub" ($99) worked for XReals. Also, I thought most users HATED the XReal Beam since it gets...

ArticBase, a tool to broadcast your 3DS games to an emulator, has been released

Testing it out more and DLCs don't seem to work. I tried out smash and it behaved like there was no DLC installed.

ArticBase, a tool to broadcast your 3DS games to an emulator, has been released

So tested it on the latest update and it works now. At least on PC, I get good speeds. It works but like on Mario, besides longer wait times, music doesn't start at the correct time and then the game tries to catch up and then at times, there are random stutters when something hasn't loaded yet...

ArticBase, a tool to broadcast your 3DS games to an emulator, has been released

Well I did run it on my S8 Tab Ultra and it was slow on New Mario 2 like vulcan or opengl even at 1x for the 2 stages I played like 2/3 the speed. With regards to debugging, how about creating a build with additional debug lines? Maybe I can test it since it affects my PC and my cellphone

ArticBase, a tool to broadcast your 3DS games to an emulator, has been released

Tested it out using new super mario bros 2 using latest luma3ds on my 2ds and arctic 3dsx. Citra crashes on connect. Arctic says it's connected then error reading from socket. I already allowed it through firewall of windows. Debug log ends at worker 3: Processing Process_GetExheader Edit...

Homebrew Tutorial SDUSB - The modern way to play Wii U games from SD - at full speed

Too bad high endurance cards only go up to 256gb. I guess this would be cute if you have a small sample of games. Will this work if you also use emunand?

ArticBase, a tool to broadcast your 3DS games to an emulator, has been released

Cool in concept but sucks that 3DS' wifi is pretty terrible. I do hope that there's an alternative solution where you can use this to get the rom initially and then just sync saves with another tool.

New static recompiler tool N64Recomp aims to seamlessly modernize N64 games

Ooh I wonder if this can be used to fix roms that have issues on the MiSTer FPGA like Conker (random crashes) due to strict timing. Otherwise, I can't wait to see the ports and enhancements that come out

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

So I have the newer rcmx86 that was installed just using 4 usb pins. It always loads to Hekate even if I: 1. Remove payload.bin and replace it with like lock pick renamed to payload.bin on root folder 2. Erased hekate*.bin on root folder 3. Turn off switch then press power Any tips on making...

Rokid AR Lite spatial computing suite unveiled

I love how they still call it AR when it's still not AR. As usual, it's going to be hyped up and not deliver much like their glasses. Their current apps still suck, so you know it's still going to be shit. @Bladexdsl They really went with we actually have an AR product but it's only for rich...

Tutorial Switch Unbricking Guide - ProdInfo Fix (PikaFix)

Can I use this to fix 2123-0011? Like can I use a donor from a banned switch and use it on a prodblanked switch? To fix the issue where any online connection causes the error to occur?

Nintendo Switch firmware update 18.0.1 has been released

I'll probably wait for the stable release of 17 before jumping in to 18. Also I really hate the whole 2112-0011 being a thing since 17.0

You mean transfer pak? Yes it works. The keyboard should work as the VRU works.

MisterFPGA has been updated to include an official release for its Nintendo 64 core

It supports them emulated. If you want to use real controllers, you would need to attach a SNAC module via the USB serial port. It will support all controllers + accessories.

MisterFPGA has been updated to include an official release for its Nintendo 64 core

Is the Pico hdmi mod good already? Based on checking: 1. It's stretched 2. No options 3. Sound is partial at best and probably won't be fixed. 4. Has increased input lag

MisterFPGA has been updated to include an official release for its Nintendo 64 core

My problem with real N64 is that it looks so bad even with a CRT. Like I bought an N64 last year and got an everdrive and it was so blurry and most of the library isn't great. Ironically, with the MiSTer core, I can disable the stuff I hate but it looks kinda like PS1 after without the wobbly...

MisterFPGA has been updated to include an official release for its Nintendo 64 core

It's not. Like their Twitter is mostly memes and being rude to replies. Which is a shame since some talented people have gotten on board to help like the guy that made the RetroTinks and the Gun4IR.

MisterFPGA has been updated to include an official release for its Nintendo 64 core

Really depends on your goal. Like Mars is delayed (It was 2024 Q1) and who knows if it will serve what it's promised (Dreamcast, 3DO). Analogue's N64 may be worth it to people who love the N64 and have cartridges but if you only like a few games, it's probably not worth it. I'd probably at...

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
