I patched both the base game rom and the update 1.1 with the latest files and the only things that seem to be translated are movesets and menus. The entire dialogue and intro is still Japanese, which sets up most of the basis of the game. Is this intentional?
This is basically my master toolkit for slots 1-8 for 1.1.2a. Outdoor rod, outdoor net, outdoor shovel, outdoor slingshot, stone axe, axe, max miles tix, max bait.
that doesn't make any sense, they've done it twice for two different villagers. I just performed the instructions word-for-word and i actually got the same error for the 10th villager house being duped, but the character i set in NHSE was found running around my plaza, so I'm hella confused...
wait a second, so basically we have to take out the 10th villager, replace them with someone entirely different and then we're able to do it to any other villager after that?
Thanks for this critical step. Also, how are you emptying these slots? Are you setting species to 35, everything else to zero and clearing the furniture data?
what are you using to confirm that the houses are correct? I thought Apollo's house was correct until I decided to redo the entire process with a different villager I invited from the mystery island. The house changes according to the characters you invite- it did not stay true to the right...
This is a warning to those who inject dumps- if you invite somebody from an island to move into an empty plot before dumping the data into the villager slot, it will give you the WRONG exterior for the house.
I tried to inject the dump into an empty slot with one empty "for sale" land plot...
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
for it tho. Edit- no it uses floppy Ram, just like @AncientBoi
