Name the Switch successor: what should Nintendo call its new console?

"Family-friendly", if you don't accidentally chuck the damn Wiimote into the TV when it inevitably fails to read your movements at all accurately, thereby pissing off the rest of the family too - all because the damn console didn't mandate the Classic Controller as a necessary backup option in...

Microsoft is closing down several gaming studios, including Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin

Wasn't that game a surprise smash success? Wow, great job MS. Fucking awful management.

Nintendo officially confirms Switch successor console, announces Nintendo Direct for next month

It's my honest opinion of BotW and TotK - they are nothing like Legend of Zelda games of old, and they're different for the sake of being different rather than improving on the classic formula. I played through both games once, using an online map to find everything, and I heartily regret...

Nintendo officially confirms Switch successor console, announces Nintendo Direct for next month

Fully agree with this part; BotW was utterly dreadful to play. A massive open-word...with bugger-all dev-placed map markers to highlight where to go or where to find important things like towns and shrines. Game would've been so much better if the towers were marked on the map for you, and...

Nintendo officially confirms Switch successor console, announces Nintendo Direct for next month

Took 'em long enough. As for whether I'll be interested in the thing...well, I initially wasn't interested in the Switch 1, as no games really interested me until 2017 (ironically, I believe my system-seller was Xenoblade Chronicles 2), and I did NOT like the concept of bringing the Wii's...

Anyone else think the world inside Conspiracy theorists heads sounds like a lot of fun?

No. Honestly? Sometimes I think they need a padded cell and a straitjacket. Before they harm someone with their anti-scientific crap. This is more for flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers, honestly, but I guess it could also work for other harmful morons, like hardline-Progressive "journalists" (who...

Share a boring fact about yourself.

Sometimes, my left eyelid twitches, and it's so mildly annoying. Also, I think I naturally breathe faster than average BPM, so at times I yawn a lot.

That one was more noticeable, so it got rectified pretty soon after, but the necro reminder is more of an edgecase thing (not nearly as common), so I'm not surprised it fell through the cracks.

The necrobump reminder probably itself got necro'd, with all the backend updates; I believe the site had a major upgrade last year, and for a while after, the automatic multi-post joiner (the one that adds "Please don't double-post!") didn't work.

I can say that it's nowhere near as compelling as Super Paper Mario; that's for sure. That game had well-written villains, fun gameplay, and a rather unique variety of worlds to explore.

Considering only one of those Legend of Zelda games is actually solidly designed and fun...that being ALttP...I don't know what you're talking about. I don't think Origami King has artificially forced, woefully inaccurate motion controls, or a massive open-world with bugger-all map markers.

Same here; I never got it. MP's just not my jam. Also, didn't it get delisted as well? Such a massive downfall from grace - used to be THE game of the year, so far, only for Sony to murder it.

    Oh no...Persona 5 Royal is Doomed now...such a shame.

    Correct opinions in your opinion

That's a Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness clip. What are you talking about? That said, BOTH Colosseum and XD are wonderful games that really need more recognition than they get. They're so much more entertaining than Game Freak's home-console attempts (Sword/Shield, Scarlet/Violet, even Legends).

The name "caffeine" directly comes from "coffee" - a German identified the compound in "Kaffee", so he named it "Kaffein". So yes, coffee is typically caffeinated. There is decaf, or decaffeinated, though.

And since everything has inflated HP numbers, especially bosses, fights take much longer to finish and are thus much more frustrating, especially with them hitting so much harder and far more frequently as well. Heck, being stun-locked by attacks is much more common than in Easy/Normal, just...

Due to this, the "best" way to heal mid-combat is the inconsistent Chakra (heals up to 40% of remaining damage - so the closer you get to full HP, the less it heals you), or Pray, which consumes 2 ATB bars (and thus can't be spammed). Cure spells can be used too...if you have spare MP, that is.

Tell me about it; because items are wholly disabled, and benches no longer restore MP, magic of any kind cannot be spammed in Hard - if you run out, you have to wait for it to slowly regen, instead of just using an Ether. The disabled-items restriction also makes vending machines and treasure...

Saying that, when work did get a bit much last year, I did get small mochas on two occasions, in order to stay awake. Even then, I found them disgusting; 'small' was all I could stomach. Yuck. I was hoping the sweet choc could hide the bitter coffee, but...nope. That was still at the forefront.
