Homebrew [DISCUSSION] New Super Ultimate Injector (NSUI)

For whatever reason, not all compatible NES titles are working with the injector. The ones I've got working are Star Soldier and Summer Carnival '92: Recca, but Galaga and Salamander aren't working (I'm using the Japanese version of each title, since they're both only available on the eShop in...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Thanks for the response. Yes, my roms are converted correctly. Otherwise, they'd probably not be recognized by the emulator.

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

I'm having trouble running NeoDS from SD using Twilight Menu on my DSi XL. I've posted my problem here before, but I was redirected to this thread. Someone in the thread I just linked claimed it's possible, but whenever I try to run NeoDS, the menu lists my roms perfectly, but when I launch one...

Tutorial NeoDS - A Guide to Using One of the Greatest DS Emulators

I'm in the same boat. I tried to load both Twinkle Star Sprites and Pulstar, and they freeze at "Loading banks into main ram..." They are in the correct .neo format, and they are at the root of my SD card.

Do you use an Antivirus for your PC and/or Phone?

On my Arch Linux PC, I don't use an antivirus, but on my Windows 8 PC*, I use Avast. However, I don't have it on at all times, I just have it installed for periodic checks and on-demand file checks. *Don't worry, I use Classic Shell.

What Is The Best Programming Language?

Python is the best first language to learn. C++ is the best language period. You can theoretically use C++ to make literally anything, although it wouldn't be efficient to, for example, script in C++. The reason Python is great for learning is that it's just common sense programming. If you...

    Hardware Asus fx 504

Looking closer at the video's comments, it seems that the Crucial RAM and the HyperX RAM linked in the description are both good, but the HyperX RAM is apparently better. You can use one stick of RAM or two, because there are two slots. For good measure, if you decide to buy two sticks, you...

    Hardware Asus fx 504

After a few seconds of Googling, I found a resource on How-FixIt. On this page, you'll find multiple videos for different part replacements for the Asus FX504, including RAM upgrades. According to the website, you can upgrade to 32 GB of RAM. If you click the video, it will send you to YouTube...

    Gaming Is this Joy-Con Drift?

Sounds like drift. It's worth getting a can of compressed air and seeing if you have any gunk under your analog sticks. That's one thing Wal-Mart probably won't be sold out on right now. If that doesn't work, you can send your joy cons to Nintendo and they'll repair them for free, barring...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

I've got another dumb question: Is there any way to launch SNES roms from the menu with lolSNES instead of SNEmul? I noticed lolSNES in the emulators directory, so I thought I might as well ask.

Need help with a virus on my pc please help

Do this, but if you want to keep your files, make sure you grab a hard drive or USB flash drive and back up the important stuff. You can restore Windows back to factory settings pretty easily.

Bernie Sanders Endorses Joe Biden For President

I don't understand why people view this as selling out. If Bernie fans don't vote Joe, Trump will win 2020. He has no choice but to publicly endorse Biden, unless he would be happy with another 4 years of Trump.

What is actual your choice - Burger King or McDonalds ? (ONLY for Fast Food Fans)

Burger King has weird meat. So does McDonalds, to be fair, but McDonalds has a kind of weird meat I'm used to. Burger King burgers are way too salty, and oddly grainy.

Gaming What are the best free pc games?

I know a guy who will email you a copy of Untitled Goose Game if you ask. I don't mean he sends you a download link, he attaches a .zip file containing the game within the email. Definitely not official, and probably not legal, but hey, what can you do.

Hardware Can you install macOS X on Linux or Windows legally?

If you have a legal copy of macOS, it should be okay for you to install it through a virtual machine. Virtual Box is free to use, and I believe it has macOS support. You can try Hackintosh, but that's against Apple's terms of service. A Hackintosh will run better than a virtual machine, but a...

    Obscure game recommendations

Otomedius is a Konami title, so it's not the most obscure, but it's pretty awesome. It's easy to dismiss as a generic cute anime girl game, but it's really fun. It was released for arcade and Xbox 360 (as Otomedius Gorgeous). It's a Gradius spin-off, so it has the fantastic level design elements...

Help me make this hard decision Switch or PS4

It depends on your use case, I'd say. If you're gonna be on the road a lot, obviously the Switch is a great option. After that, consider the kind of games you play. The Switch has a lot of awesome arcade ports, modern arcade-style titles, and first party Nintendo games, so if any of those pique...

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
