It depends on the game. Dragon Quest V DS does have compatible save files. So does Dragon Quest IX (although the name will be corrupted as there aren't any kana fonts in the English version). But DQIV is so different (likely due to the party chat missing) that it just won't work, sadly.
Oh, I wasn't thinking...
I'm sorry, but since this patch uses the JP rom as its base, save files that are made with the English rom won't work. Draagon Quest IV English and Dragon Quest IV JP are just too different for the saves to be compatible with each other.
DesMuMe used the .dsv file extension for saves I believe. You're going to need to convert that to a format the the DS would naturally recognize. Use this site to convert saves between .DSV and .SAV.

I could technically make an EU version next. I want to reiterate though, that would be for accessibility (you want to dump the cartridge you have and all you have is that version). By using this patch you're actually turning the game into the the JP version with English dialogue text. So the end...
It's a huge part of the game for them to just cut out! But it likely saved them a ton in costs. I've never gotten around to playing the mobile version much, myself, because I don't like playing games on my phone.
EDIT: I totally meant to flag the title with [RELEASE]. Can a mod do that if they happen by this post?
For those not aware, the English DS version of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of Chosen excluded the Party chat dialogue when it was translated. This is a lot of flavor text that really helps build...
So I've dumped my switch nand and used a tool to dump all my Switches save file (found here:https://gbatemp.net/threads/extract-save-from-nand-backup.514261/page-2#post-8597227) and was able to locate my FoMT save file. Unfortunately when I try to replace the PC saves with the ones from my...
The extended offline campaign is still very playable through the original Wii version although the online services for the Wii has been disabled. In fact, another group had actually begun work on translating the PC version of the offline campaign but stopped due to that version no longer being...
I get what they were trying to say but what the ad actually says is "we tried to cram a ton of features into the iPad but all of them got irreparably mangled
in the process."
I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol
