ArticBase, a tool to broadcast your 3DS games to an emulator, has been released

Oh yeah, I'd seen something about this a few days ago, awesome work as always! Since I mainly use Citra for testing ROM Hacks and other development, I probably won't use this much, but I do think it's a great option for quickly loading up a game without dumping the whole thing. Also, as others...

Emulation Misc Is a totk memory editor possible? If so why has no one made one yet?

It's certainly possible, I've manually modified item ids into other objects on BoTW (using Cemu + Scanmem on Linux), and it's fair to assume that ToTK follows a similar memory map. I might have to look into it a bit more later this week, or at least write up the process.

3DS homebrew tool FBI title manager removed from GitHub

For people planning to archive git repos, make sure to use git clone --mirror to fully download all branches, and make sure any submodules are archived too. It sucks to see this happening, but I do understand why developers would want to be cautious right now. Hopefully it'll cool back down...

Romhacks and fan translations website CDRomance takes all downloads off-site after a DMCA threat

IDK if the ESA does this, but a lot of companies like Nintendo, Sony, etc. hire out to entire law firms to just send out copyright claims. It makes it hard to say who actually sent the message when anyone can just say they are a representative of a company. Either way, yeah, pathetic losers.

Wii Shop revival service "RiiShop" enters public beta

I mean, I don't agree with current copyright laws and length, but this is just straight up piracy. Not charging for it won't keep them safe from Nintendo, what are they thinking?

    E3 is officially dead

Sad to see it go, but I'm not surprised considering the last few E3s. Also, the ESA sucks. While not surprising, they are anti-repair and very anti-preservation.

Yup, 3d printed. Knowing how much some studios love to make game spinoffs it wouldn't have been...

Denuvo's DRM technology for Nintendo Switch is now available in the Nintendo Developer Portal

So, if Denuvo can ruin games even on high end hardware, I'm guessing it'll just make the switch blow up.

Microsoft to shut down Xbox 360 Store next year

Yeah, I think it's more of a problem with copyright law than it is Microsoft shutting down the store. I absolutely get shutting down a service for a very old game console, but, games that aren't available for purchase anywhere else should have their copyright forfeited.

F3 2023, the E3-like presentation for romhacks and fangames by Kaze Emanuar, releases its yearly announcements.

Always love to see these! I know how complex making even fairly simple mods for some games can be, it's so impressive to see what some people can do!

But will there be drift, with microtransactions to fix it? :P

I replaced the case/shell on my New 3DSXL, along with the battery. The A button doesn't work as well anymore.

I actually just started noticing the same thing on my Y button today. I think you're right that it's probably just dust, since replacing the back cover couldn't really have done anything to the buttons. Good luck!

    Game Language Changed Randomly?

Is the game fully updated? I know there were a few translation oversights in ykw3 1.0.

    is this normal?

The 3ds's browser is very outdated and slow, I'm surprised a modern site like YouTube even worked in recent years. They probably updated something that broke support. There isn't really anything you can do but use a different device to use YouTube.

Open-source AR device, Monocle, launches arGPT app

This is kinda cool. But like most of these devices, unless you have a really good specific use for them, I feel like the novelty would wear off pretty quick.

Cemu emulator gave my pc issues

CEMU shouldn't have messed with your system in any way. Where did you download it from? If it was anywhere other than the official site (cemu.info) or their github it's probably a virus. It could also just be completely unrelated.

    Sysnand and Emunand

Yup, there's not really any reason for a regular user to use EmuNand/RedNand anymore. Here's a guide to moving from EmuNand to SysNand. There's also this guide: Checking for CFW, since there are some extra steps depending on how old your installation is.
