Masayuki Uemura, the engineer behind the NES and SNES, has passed away at age 78

I'd never heard of him before, which is really sad because I spent countless hours playing Ice Climbers and the Baseball game when I was a kid. May he rest in peace.

Valve is reviewing the entire Steam catalog for compatibility with the Steam Deck

It's a very nice thing for Valve to go out of their way like this. I still have my doubts about the Steam Deck but seeing them placing this much care, I'm honestly impressed.

Editorial 'Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot' Nintendo Switch Version Impressions

My old PC wouldn't run this and I only own a switch so this is a pretty nice deal for me, always loved me Dragon Ball, and the rpg elements seem like an interesting change from other DB games. Will pick it up soon.

Gaming Last Switch game you finished

I actually finished 3 games in a row yesterday. Hollow Knight (Normal Ending), Samurai Warriors 5, and NEO The World Ends with You. What a rush, that last one was particularly awesome, one of the best final boss fights I've experienced in a while. Planning to get into Metroid Dread later on...

    Your anime top 3’s

I watch a little bit of everything so this is hard, but I prefer seinen and/or comedy, so my top 3 currently would be: 1. Golden Kamui 2. Kaguya-sama Love is War 3. One-Punch Man Yeah my tastes are kinda weird xD

Koichi Sugiyama, composer for the Dragon Quest series, has passed away at age 90

I had no idea he was so old, I find it amazing that he was still working on DQ, even if his music did get repetitive, his battle tracks were so catchy, I can still hum most of them and often do so. May he rest in peace

Nintendo Direct Sept 23rd - roundup - N64 games coming to Switch Online, Bayonetta 3 trailer

That was a pretty good Direct, nothing too exciting for me but very interesting games to keep in mind for next year: Triangle Strategy, New Kirby and Bayonetta 3. I'm really glad that Voice of Cards is coming soon, gotta try that demo. And Deltarune Chapter 2!

Chapter 2 of Toby Fox's Deltarune surprise launches on PC for free today

Well this is a very nice surprise! I had been putting off playing chapter 1, this is as good a time as any :)

A kingdom in your hands - Ni no Kuni II Switch first impressions

I always wanted to play this one, so I'm glad this came to the switch. I did notice some slight frame drops in a few areas, but that has never stopped me from enjoying a game before. Loved the first one, the combat here is so much better and I like the seemingly more mature story, this will be a...

PlayStation Showcase September 9th - roundup - new God of War: Ragnarok trailer

The highlight of the show was Project EVE for me, decent looking action game with very good music. Forspoken is nice I guess, the dialogue sounds a bit annoying. A few more solid announcements, though almost all of them release 2022 and beyond. Not a bad thing for me tho since I won't be buying...

A handful of 'Trails' games will be officially released in the west, featuring fan-translated work

I'm happy this is happening, I played the first Trails of Cold Steel and really enjoyed it. Haven't had the chance to play any other in this series but it's been on my radar for a while. Great to see so many more coming to the switch too.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 E3 2021 trailer, launches 2022

Not a lot to see this time but I'm glad this is still a thing and that development seems to be going well according to Aonuma. I had a lot of fun with the first BotW, although I wouldn't give it a 10 out of 10, it's still a very solid game and a great open world experience, and this sequel...

Danganronpa finally heads to the Nintendo Switch in the Danganronpa Decadence collection

Although I've already played them all I'm happy this is coming to switch as a collection. Have a few friends that never played them before looking forward to it. It's a good franchise to get into if you already finished Ace Attorney and are looking for something with similar investigation and...

Never been around for this event before, I honestly don't even know what to expect. Should be interesting if they announce new games tho.

Shin Megami Tensei V release date revealed through website leak

Well this pretty much confirms my wishes, I'll try to contain my hype until the official annoucement is made but, this is exciting news. Been waiting for this since 2017. I literally started saving and bought my switch to play this game. The plot reminds me of Nocturne, protagonist becomes a...

Dai Gyakuten Saiban to be localized officially as The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles

Really looking forward to this. Had the opportunity to play the first Daigyakuten on 3DS thanks to the fan translation and it was just as fantastic as every other game in this franchise. I'm thrilled to revisit that now and continue into the second to its conclusion. Also it seems there's new...

Tales of Arise will release this September, will get Series X|S and PS5 versions

I hate to say this but I really wanted this to be on Nintendo Switch. I mean this game is releasing in every other current platform. Why not the Switch? I'd get it on Steam but I'm afraid my PC might not be up to the game's gorgeous visuals and fluid combat system, which looks incredibly awesome...
