I wouldn't buy the clone tbh. According to sthetix the clone has a 50% failure rate and can't be flashed. Prices are still too high when the original chip was selling for ~$60.
I wouldn't install the rcmloader inside the switch.
You'll need to either modify the right joycon or keep the jig around after installing it.
You also can't update the payload inside the rcmloader without reopening the console again.
rcmloader battery also needs to be recharged when it dies...
The clone version is already on the market, check Aliexpress or Taobao. It's also very expensive (3x the price of the original chip from one seller on Aliexpress).
There are apparently 2 or 3 different mod chips that are designed for V2s. You can only find clones of the original (core) chip on Aliexpress, maybe you should search for a clone version of that chip. Someone is selling them for $188 now, still too expensive compared to an unpatched switch
Some guy already posted a youtube video about the new clone. It's apparently harder to install the clone due to some gap on one of the soldering points.
The (trinket) modchip for unpatched switches are essentially a built in payload injector (think of tegrarcm/rcmloader being automatically sent to the USB port but internally from the switch's SD card). Depending on how you install it, you might still need to hold down the vol+ and/or insert a...
There's a seller on Aliexpress selling the new clones for $200 each and $540 for 3 ($180 each). Honestly at those prices you might as well get an unpatched tablet/console instead. Unpatched tablets are being sold for ~$230 and doesn't require soldering + disassembling the switch.
