    i'm not 100% sure I got the right kernel, mostly because this cart has an F printed on the left side of 2013, most carts that I find online only have only 2013

    I recently bought a r4i3d.com card that has written "r4i3d F 2013", my ds does recognize it(as a spongebob game), the problem is that it goes directly to a white screen when I select it, so i'm assuming the problem is the missing firmware,it could be also a faulty sd card,I tested on another ds...

    I ended up finding a old r4 that I bought 2 years ago that never really worked properly, after cleaning it and putting a lot of paper it's working fine, it's a r4i3d and it's was quite easy finding the kernel, I appreciate the help you guys provided until now, thanks!

    I think I found the right kernel http://garotasnocontrole.blogspot.com/2015/03/firmwarekernelupdate-para-o-r4i-3ds.html The problem is I still get the white screen, so my r4 is probably bricked, is there an way to fix this? edit : spelling

    I did ended up cleaning the r4 and the good news is that the screen doesn't glitch anymore, so I guess I cleaned correctly, the bad news is that I'm still getting the white screen, if you guys think that is worth trying the past kernels that didn't work again since the r4 is cleaned I will do it

    I notice a small black spot in the pins of the r4, how do I clean it?

    It could be the r4 pins since I have a original game and it works, it's just weird that only crashes the first time I turn it on

    It didn't work :(, if is any help the first time I turn it on the ds crashes at the health and safety warning and freezes, and then after I turn it on again it goes through the health and safety screen but goes to the white screen, this happens every time the ds is able to recognize the r4...

    It goes directly to a white screen, I tried both empty sd and no sd and both give a white screen

    I found r4i blue v1.6 online and tried using it, still have the same screen i'm not sure why

    I've also find someone saying this "The R4i Drive card is a fake (the genuine one has official site r4i-sdhc ), and if you've updated your console to the latest 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 firmwares it's unlikely to work.", so maybe I could downgrade my ds?

    yeah I tried archive dot org but it wasn't even cached properly, just a question, is the kernel in the link all I need or do I need ysmenu too?
